Reviewed October 19, 2012

Based on other reviews on Tripadvisor we walked into this B and B late one weekday afternoon in early October and were fortunate that they still had a vacancy. We had spent most of the day driving and had passed through Swansea which we found quite dreary and depressing, so we just kept going down the coastline and came to the beautiful little resort-style community of Mumbles.
When I told the host that parking was a priority he graciously offered to move his car off the
street to allow us to leave our vehicle directly in front of the inn overnight. Most appreciated!
I must echo the compliments of other reviewers concerning the attractiveness of the room and amenities, and the little bottles of wine were a wonderful treat after our long day of travel.
Our host's restaurant recommendations were very helpful. Since this was the off-season, and a Monday night, some restaurants were closed but we enjoyed a great meal at a spot just around the corner from the b and b.
The location about three blocks from the main shoreline road meant a quiet stay yet an easy walk to the waterfront trail and shopping and dining. I wished we could have stayed longer.
Breakfast was top notch also. Highly recommended!!

6 Stars? Thank you! We really appreciate the kind review. Please come and see us again when you are in Wales. Since your stay we've now put a huge map of the world in our entrance hall and we are adding stickers to places our guests have come from. I'll be sure to put a sticker in Canada!

We have just returned from a stay at this b&b. It was a superb find and the hosts could not do enough for us. We took over all their rooms to have a weekend with family and friends who were visiting from New Zealand. They coped extremely well providng a fantastic cooked breakfast for 15 all at the same time. The rooms we all very cosy with bottles of water and wine which was a nice touch. They were happy for us to use the breakfast room for socialising which was great when there were a couple of young children in the party. Certainly recommend a visit to this delightful place.

Langland Road B&B is a great place for a relaxing break! From the moment you step foot through the door, the hosts make you feel at home and encourage you to relax. The room was perfectly sized, clean and (thanks to the size of the windows) very light and welcoming with some wonderful little extras such as complementary mini-bottles of wine! The bed was decadently large and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the service was both friendly and efficient. I would love to stay again if I'm ever in the Swansea area; keep up the good work, lads!

What else can we add? We had 4 rooms single occupancy for 2 nights on a driving tour of Wales and it completely lived up to expectations. The rooms are spacious, spotless and decorated with taste and lack of chintz only 2 guys can do ;). David and Giles are great hosts and it's a pleasure to stay in somewhere managed and run with total focus and professionalism yet with a very laid back vibe. New downstairs room was ideal for our friend with mobility problems, and with his blue badge we were able to park outside for the duration (not an option for most people, admittedly).

I had the room at the top, with a view of the park, and a powerful shower wirh consistent temperature - quite a feat so high up in a Victorian property! A sign that things have been done properly here. Really hard to find any fault at all - personally I'm not mad on fish in small tanks, and maybe if the complimentary wine (nice touch!) was red it wouldn't matter that it wasn't chilled. Utterly trivial matters. Free WiFi was great. High quality breakfast, and nice to have a decent MUG of coffee! And large glasses for plenty of juice.

Thanks for a great stay guys, and your terrific B&B will certainly be the perfect motivation for another coastal tour of Wales. Cannot recommend highly enough, and a bargain at the price. Rare quality and a benchmark for anyone running this type of establishment.

Room Tip: The front rooms with park view are absolutely great, but any room here shames most hotel offerings a...

Wow what a great review. Thanks for that - the feedback is really good to hear. We really should stock some red wines - we sometimes have rose wines but we don't tend to buy red. We will definately think about buying red. Guests do sometimes put thier white wines in the fridge in the breakfast room to chill them.

We really hope you do come back and see us - we didn't get enough time to chat. Hope you enjoyed Cardiff.

This is a lovely B&B, the rooms are clean and very comfortable with the most comfortable beds. Breakfast was delish and plentiful. The host are really friendly and very informative of the area. Plenty of tea and coffee and hot choclate on your tea tray in the room and fresh milk available in the fridge downstairs in the dining room Also complementary bottles of white wine which were nice. Very nice toilteries and towels with a really good shower. We had the room ovelooking the park..and the goldfish in the tank on the wall...very cute! Only downside was the parking which we had already been advised of..it was difficult getting nearby. Would deinatley return here as a good location to explore the area and a really nice place to stay.

Room Tip: Room 3 is lovely!

It really is hard to criticise Langland Road B&B. Admittedly we paid the few extra pounds for a larger room which give us a 42inch tv and plenty of space to prepare for the event we were attending in the area. But that apart, the welcome, decor and little extras spoke volumes about the attention to detail of the two chaps running the place.
The house, bought in a state of disrepair, has been restored and upgraded with unpretentious flare. The bed was comfortable; the linen, clean and soft. The ensuite had a fine shower with shampoo and shower gel supplied. We asked for an extra reading lamp which was installed without question while we were out for supper. In-room drink-making included teabags, instant coffee and hot chocolate. Bottles of Evian and white wine were also provided.
Breakfast was plentiful and varied with extra supplies of tea and toast offered as we went along. The bacon was noteable.
If one wanted to quibble: we found the central light in the room energy-saving dim and settling the bill could only be done in cash. The on-street parking is well-used which may involve hunting for a place but the owners offered to move their car to allow us a space.
We were left with the feeling that the owners really did want their guests to have a good stay. This permeated into the whole presentation of the place. Really first rate.

Room Tip: Our larger room was at the top and front of the house and had views of a park.
