Get down early before the breeze comes in to swim in a perfect, clear and clean lagoon. Great to have the kiosk selling good coffee and icecream! The only problem is finding a carpark!

Definitely best beach North of the river. It gets deeper quite slowly so its generally nice and clear on a still day. You can find quieter spots by walking or parking slightly north or south of the main section (by the surf club house). Across the road is dome cafe, the mullaloo tavern and a bottle shop. Nice grassed area with playgrounds for the kiddies, perfect for picnics. Not too pretentious like some of the other yuppie beaches. Avoid around Australia day as the bogans and drunk youths are out in force!

Mullaloo has evolved over the years to become the place to go for locals. BBQ facilities, long stretch of beach as well as new facilities such as MBH and Dome. Can get very busy but otherwise great atmosphere.

While on holiday in Perth, I decided to drive north along the coast to find a beach for easy bobbing in the ocean. Mullaloo is perfect for a calm morning enjoying the pristine sand and clean ocean. It has a very long shore break so the waves simply lap at the shore most of the morning and early afternoon. As with most beaches, it does get quite windy in the afternoon, but then watching the windsurfers nearby is great fun. It's the long, shallow entry that I like most of all to gradually get in. Soooo relaxing!

Visited mullaloo a few times! Christmas Day being one of them!!! Nice beach with lovely sand and it looks as if it goes on for miles and miles! Good shower and changing facilities! There is also a little park which has outdoor bbqs and there are a few cafes around if you don't want to bring your own food! Good atmosphere when beach is busy but also nice to just relax when it's quiet!!,
