“Just what Stavanger needs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2013

Stavanger is lovely, but it does lack nice, casual but good quality places to eat and drink. This little gem, and its owner Suliman, hits the spot. Beautiful decor, über friendly service, great selection of teas, wine and beer. Perfect.

“A Delightful Surprise in Stavanger”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2013

Sometimes, in the middle of a vacation in which you're filling every moment with activity, you need to take a deep breath and rest for a bit. My husband and I were in need of such a time when we stumbled across Efendi Tea & Coffee House, and our visit there was one of the highlights of our trip. The cafe is an easy walk from the cruise ship dock and introduces the shopping district. Watching the proprietor was like watching a show--he bustled through the cafe with the energy of a very happy puppy, not only serving orders but bending over backwards to make each customer feel at home while doing it. I saw smiles on faces all over the cafe. He truly has a gift of hospitality.

Everything about the cafe was pleasant and peaceful, from the decor to the music to the selection of books for perusing. The coffee was excellent (even the decaf), as were the rich desserts in shot glasses that we ordered. Two coffees and two desserts set us back about 20 euros, but it was well worth it.

“High quality in friendly surroundings!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

Walking into this place was like a breath of fresh air! The place has been done up the last couple of months, and the interior is lush and done with style and high quality! The owner is super friendly and most importantly has a great selection of teas and coffees and food dishes at a reasonable price. I look forward to going back here in the very near future! Thumbs up for this place, I hope a lot of people go here and make this cosy place a success! 

“Luscious Little Café”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

This new newly opened cafe truly adds something unique to the Stavanger Cafe scene located at the colourful street of Øvre Holmegate. The owner of the establishment is very friendly and welcomes you with grace. The interiors are very well designed and based around dark tones, mixing traditional with modern in dark shades of colour. The large windows provides lots of light, and the furniture is small, but sturdy and very comfortable. The tea was first presented, and the owner graciously let us smell to taste the large selection of teas. The well stocked kitchen can also put out simple dishes like pasta, and serves small but very rich and tasty desserts. Recommended for couples wanting to try something that is unlike any other café in Stavanger.
