I wonder why the other restaurants in Stavanger don't learn from this great little place. There's no reason to charge an arm and a leg for simple, good food. Gadja certainly doesn't. You can eat here for under 300 Kroner for two persons and have a singing belly as you walk out of the door. We have been here several times because they specialise in gluten free bread and vegan/vegetarian palettes. So if this is you, then I recommend Gadja. But I also recommend it for any kind of palette, meat-eater and more. The food is fresh, it's not drowned in sauce or oil, it has great spice, taste and flavour, it's very fresh and fast, and the way of eating is very special. You have full sensory involvement using your hands to eat your food, and while sharing the platter with your fellow foodie. I love the fact that I don't have to use knife and fork. You also tend to eat a little slower and so can enjoy everything.
