This was our very first restaurant to visit in Scandinavia and if the rest live up to this one we will have a very fine holiday. As one would expect the fish is of very top quality and the reindeer was something special, gamey but not too much so. Two of us had the excellent fish soup as a starter whilst I had the mussels with pesto. Again two had the reindeer one medium and the other medium rare and the third had the beef fillet. All were very good. Prices are very expensive compared to the UK but not too out of the box.

I had some of the best fish dishes I have ever had here. The creamed fish soup starter was absolutely divine and the Catch of the Day main course was truly excellent (fresh salmon and cod, server simply with boiled potatoes and a sublime sauce; very simple, but preciously delicious).

The atmosphere is awesome, as the restaurant looks and feels like the interior of an aged ship; the service was impeccable, despite the large size of our party.

Whole-heartedly recommended for the fish and seafood!

It's not innovative very fancy place, but a cosy restaurant in one of the oldest timber houses of Stavanger. Food is good. Would specially recommend it for traditional Norwegian things like cod with lever and roe and moose. It's a place for a good time with Your colleagues, especially if they are grown up men with respect for bloody biff and traditions.
PS. it's an additional plus when you can smoothly og from the restaurant to a pub just pushing 1 door...

Great little place we went back to a few times. They had an amazing fisksuppe and nice little outdoor patio. Excellent service. Tried the seafood which was excellent and the reindeer which was very delicious. View overlooking the harbor and water.

Would recommend to anyone going.

The menu is small but what they serve is good. I had the moose which was really nice. The way it was served was really traditional and the flavors combined really well. Service is good and they are not in a rush to get you out of the door when you finished dinner. Would definitely go here again when in Stavanger.
