We took the 3 hour cruise to Pulpit Rock. The boat was comfortable, the scenery excellent. With that great benefit of hindsight we would have preferred to have used the car ferry for the full 42 Km length, then driven back through the mountains. I do not think we would have enjoyed the trip in bad weather, the view from the cabin down below was poor and the open deck, where we sat, was cold even in mid-June. Wheelchairs would not be able to access the deck, there is no food or drink available on board so take a picnic.
