- The fjord/mountain view from the rooms in this hotel is amazing. Had a "superior" twin room on the 13th floor, but the floor number shouldn't mean more than getting the height feeling when looking down.
- The breakfast was really superb, which is the way Rica does it.
- Bathroom was decent. Tub with a shower in. Very nice supplements.
- Could hear the elevator running constantly up and down from the room, but the noise was quiet and not too disturbing.
- The room was somewhat too hot when going to bed, and there were no way of regulating it in the room (and windows do not open).
- Nice sky-bar on the top/15th floor, with an almost scary balcony.
- Free parking, but somewhat limited capacity - got advised to park on unmarked spot (which was fine).
- Access to decent fitness room, swimming, spa (for 100NOK extra). If you bring a fishing rod you can fish from the seaside path around the hotel building.
- Located next to Aker Stadion if you are visiting for a MFK-match.

Will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. With A/C control and no elevator noise, I would have given top score.

I´m a local who had to stay in Molde because of an early flight. Having checked in, we went to our room, which was decent enough, judged by the interior. However, this is where the horror started. The air condition was out of order, so the room was very hot. We decided to open the windows, but just outside the window there was 5 air condition machines making a loud, disturbing noise, we couldn´t even hear ourselves think when the window was open. We decided to close the window and try to sleep without air con and with the windows closed, which was almost impossible. When turning of all the lights, we discovered that the main light in the room was connected to the power outlets, so we couldn´t charge our phones when the light was turned off. Therefore, we had to sleep with the lights on as to charge our phones during the night.

The tip of the iceberg was at 4am, when leaving for the airport, the hotel said we could get a snack to go, since the breakfast buffet wouldn´t open until 8am. We had booked a room with breakfast included in the rate, but was charged extra to get the sandwich, which by the way was made the night before, and could not be considered a decent sandwich.

If visiting Molde, check out the other hotels, this is a rip-off and a shame for the city.

We drove down from Kristiansund along the picturesque Atlantic Highway and stayed four days at the Rica Seilet Hotel which offered a spectacular view of the fjords, ships, sailing vessels, mountains and sunsets. We had a room with a balcony (highly recommended) and found everything to be ideal. Inclusive buffet breakfast offered an abundance of food and beverages. We enjoyed walking into the town and watched a soccer game at the stadium next door. Be careful if you park, the stadium parking is reserved and the fine is expensive. We drove to the mountains and I recommend it highly. Norway in general is very expensive but this is a beautiful region to explore.

We stayed with colleagues for 1 night. It was rain and fog in the evening and sunny weather next day.
The view from restaurant to fjord was great, breakfust was tasty, but the room was below expectation. We had also dinner and service was very slow despite of only our 3 persons were there.

You'd be hard pushed to match the amazing views from this place. Bus from the airport costs 50 NOK per person, around 6 quid for the 15 minute journey, and cheaper than a taxi unless of course there are more of you. Ocean and snow capped mountains are the norm and the fjords disappearing over the horizon are up there with the best our old planet has to offer. Check in was pretty smooth, there is also a small room next to reception for on line check in and boarding pass print out if needed. My 5th floor room was a tad on the small side but no problem, tea and coffee making facilities are available along with a sparse mini bar. Good shower too, but the beds are the biggest disappointment. Almost like camp beds with a thin mattress on top, they are very soft, which won't be to everyone's taste, including mine. Room was quiet enough though, buffet breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice to suit all tastes, and the evening menu, albeit with very few choices was adequate, if expensive. Be sure to check out the Skybar on the 15th floor to watch the sun go down from the balcony with an exorbitantly priced cold beer or just watch the ferries pass by. Awesome. Molde is a quiet town with several Pizza parlours dotted around and some interesting looking shops, and I'm sure the locals wouldn't want it any other way. There is no danger of running into a stag or hen party here, the price of alcohol puts paid to that! Make sure you bring a camera with a full battery, because if you're like me you'll spend a lot of time saying 'wow 'before taking many snaps of this incredible scenery.

Room Tip: It goes without saying to request an ocean facing room on the highest floor available!

The most beautiful hotel and location I have seen in a long time. The hotel sits on the edge of the water with the balcony's jutting out over the water. We splurged on a balcony room and don't regret it at all. Beautiful view of the Fjords and passing Ferries, Cruise Ships & Fishing/Pleasure boats, with sunsets to die for. The hotel is expensive but everything in Norway is expensive. The room was modern and comfortable even though it was on the small side. The bathroom was great and the beds were comfortable with warm blankets. Dining room is lovely and service was very good however the dinner was average and overpriced. Breakfast was a highlight, everything you could want on the buffet. Nothing really bad to say, the hotel design is beautiful and the interior is bright and open with all the glass.

Room Tip: Get a room with balcony if you like beautiful views and fresh air in your room.

The hotell was built in 2001 and rooms look like this, but they are clean.every room has fantastic view with large windows what is the biggest advantage of this hotel. No air condition in the rooms.my room smelled like someone smoked ciggaretes.lobby also looks very nice.food in the restaurant was good but in the menu you will find just 2 starters and 4 main couses. I received the smallest carpacio in my life. 120 nok for 7 small rounded slices of beef it was almost like robbery. Thst was also the wors service I have ever seen. Waiters and weitreses had no idea how to serve the guests....they propose bread after we eat the starters, no clue how to serve the plates, they gave me fork and knive to my hans saying "here you are". Breakfast was good with a lot of choices for every one. Too high prices for that low service
