We were situated in the green warehouse. The rooms were just too small for us and our luggage. The beam took up so much space. Not much counter space in bathroom. Staff quite helpful and breakfast was hearty and had enough choices.

We stayed at the Hotel Brosundet for two nights on a summer vacation around Norway. It was the best hotel in all of Norway. The building has been converted from an old warehouse into a tasteful and trendy hotel. The rooms are well furnished and provide ample space. The washroom was very modern. My only disappointment was that we were not staying here longer. Definitely would return and recommend this hotel.

There are 2 hotels - one is renovated with harbor views the other rooms are older and have town views. We had the harbor views/ renovated rooms. No music heard or nightclub - the harbor is very quiet and so is the town. It is hot but windows open for fresh air. They have connecting rooms for families. I would def make sure when booking. The bartender at the bar makes great drinks. The restaurant has local seafood dishes.

We loved Alesund, under the sun it was the absolute dream. This hotel was very hard to book for no one could answer with constance because of the works of renovation they are doing. But everything went fine, our family suite was an interesting price although not renovated (that was the deal) and as every where in Norway we wished there were curtains so the kids could sleep longer but the rest was absolutely perfect. I loved the dinner light meal in their restaurant. The hotel is decorated with a lot of taste and its view on the water is incredible. Loved that place !!!

The hotel is very warm inside. Unreasonably warm. We visited on a cool day in July--daytime high only in the 50's--so cold at night that the restaurant in the hotel had a fire going in the fireplace. Despite it being cold outside, inside our room was incredibly hot and we soon discovered that there is no way to control the temperature within individual rooms apart from opening the window. Unfortunately, opening the window on a Saturday night means the thumping bass from the nightclub right there makes it impossible to sleep. You are stuck with a very poor trade off of the room either being too hot or too loud and you end up not sleeping. The clubs don't stop playing music until 3:30am. I had to wake up at 4am for a flight so I basically did not sleep. Very disappointing. No reason for the rooms to be that hot when it's cold outside. My room was on the second floor.

Dear ercs16!

Thank you for your review, and we are so sorry to hear that you did not sleep at all here at Hotel Brosundet. Not many warm days in Ålesund, and we think that the owen was on in your room. There is a silver colourd box on the wall to regulate the temperature-we are really sorry to hear that your were not informed by us.
So sorry to hear this and that your stay in Ålesund was ruined. If you decide to come back, we will try to make it ut to you.
