“Beautiful Art Nouveau Building”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014 via mobile

This building is a beautiful and well preserved example of the period. The entrance is into an old pharmacy with the original shop fittings. Upstairs there are some beautifully furnished rooms complete with table settings. An enjoyable peek into the past.

“Very interesting and varied exhibits.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2014 via mobile

Mr B and I throughly enjoyed our visit. We learnt a lot and really enjoyed the time machine experience. Also the polar landscapes art exhibition in the Kube next door ( included in admission price ) was very evocative.

“Learn more about the history of Alesund's architecture”

Plemty to see, a fun time machine to take you back to the day of the 1904 fire that devastated the old town and a cute cafe too.

“Avoid the coffee”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

An OK exhibition, especially on a rainy day, giving a fun description of the fire which all but destroyed Alesund. Maybe a bit expensive for what it is but then we come to expect that from anything tourist related. I'd avoid the coffee in the cafe though, it was luke warm at best and the waffles were expensive even by norway's standards.
