This water is surrounded by a park. You can sit by the waters edge or walk around it; or why nt sit in quiet contemplation on one of the park benches? You;ll fint this park and water smack in the middle of the center of Bergen. From late may to the middle of hune you can walk under the Cherry trees that useually Bloom in this time of the year.

In the middle of Bergen center is this park with its water and a beautyful fontain. If you want a quiet time and just walk and feel the heart of Bergen is this the place to visit.
I recomend this place to other travelers.

I am surprised that this is not listed as a Bergen attraction. This lovely pond surrounded by the art museums and the public library and the train station is a wonderful place to sit and/or stroll or lay out in the sun. I loved walking around the park and looking at the many sculptures within it. Make sure to seek out the one by Norwegian sculptor Vigeland of a petulant child with clenched buttocks being drenched by fountain water. This sculptor's realistic and decidedly unsentimental depiction of children and family are on larger display in Oslo, but having not had the time to visit that city on this trip, it was nice to experience one of that artist's works in Bergen.
