We had a wonderful lunch here in this rustic, friendly place. I had the potato and garlic soup, which was perfect on a rainy day, and my mom had the portobello mushrooms with Camembert (?) cheese and vegetables, another hearty and flavorful option. There aren't a lot of good lunch options in Bergen and this was by far the best we had in town.

Great spot for authentic Norwegian food. Highly recommend the fish pie or the whale. They also had a great selection of beers, and the bartender even offered us samples of the cider to try.

Very good food. Limited menu but had a lot of local Norwegian options. The meatballs with the berry sauce was very good. Favorite thing was the fish and potato mash with bacon on top. It was so good we went back the next day to get it again.

We had the mashed potato and fish all together dish and it was authentic and delicious. There are other Norwegian dishes to choose from, too.

They don't take reservations, so we tried our lucky around 7:30 on a Saturday. It was quite busy but someone came over quickly and found us a shared table with another couple. We had the meatballs and the fish pie, and both were excellent. They also had a nice selection of local beers. While surely a tourist spot, it has a local feel to it.
