“Is this an attraction?”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

I was a little surprised when heard that Grieghallen is a city attraction. On the whole the building is used for concerts and conferences... The facade is covered with glass and shining panels according to canons of the modern urban architecture. Similar plastic cubes are spread around most cities all over the world.
At the front is a square where sometimes the young heirs of the vikings dance rumba and cha- cha.
Also earlier there was an ATM near the entrance- it was the only place in the area where you could take some cash... But now as I know the ATM is removed.

“Very good concert hall, rather special architecture”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Very good concert hall, all though a little bit worn. The exterior architecture is rather special. Inside it is light, with hundreds of electric lamps.

“The best place to enjoy concerts in Bergen.”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

The Grieg Hall (Norwegian: Grieghallen) in my hometown Bergen is the best place to enjoy concerts. The main auditorium has about 1500 seats. Grieghallen is also a national centre for international congresses.
Grieghallen has been the home of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra since the hall's completion in 1978. It hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986. The hall is named after Bergen-born composer Edvard Grieg, who was music director of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra from 1880 until 1882.

“Overpriced conference”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

Being at an expensive conference where all lecturers require optimal projections of their presentation to make their important point, it is very disappointing to argue with the lecture hall staff to adjust the projector to the presentation rather than the opposite (and then continuing with private web browsing). Very poor attitude for a conference center.
