Not worth travelling to this church as it is fenced off. Think a lot of attractions close at the end of September so worth checking before ging to any of them.

If you're getting here by car, set your GPS to Fantoftvegen 38, 5072 Bergen, Norway, and when you see the two buildings I've uploaded, park at the roundabout-like lot. It should be an easy two minute walk down the trail from there.
It's open May 15 - September 15, 10:30 - 18:00 and we were there the first week of May, but it was still worth going to see the outside. If you love churches, you'll love stave churches because they're like nothing you've ever seen before and you can only find them in Norway.
The stave has limited seasons to view the inside of the church but the outside was probably more amazing to see than the inside. There is a bit of a walk to get to it. Look at the top for the dragons.
This is a beautiful Stave church in the middle of nowhere. It is literally next to a business complex and apartment building. We were very confused on where we should park. Luckily there was a small tour bus with its driver in it who told us just to park along the loop. There at really no signs telling you where to park and luckily we had our GPS in the rental car to get us there. It's a small hike back from the parking area to the church. It is truly magnificent inside and out. We took a lot of pictures here. It is free with the Bergen card. There are also a couple of bathrooms on site as well.
I saw this spot while apart of a biking tour. I was glad to have seen it but even more glad it wasn't the only thing to see while out and about. Its located in a nice spot with small walks around for leisure. Toilets are free if you pay for the church otherwise you have to pay for the toilets there separately. This stop shouldn't take anyone a lot of time.
This little church is an exact replica of the original that burned down in 1992. The rebuild was completed in 1995 using wood from trees that were over 250 years old. It is amazing to see the precise detail and ornate work that went into building this church.
It is definitely worth seeing!
