We stayed here for one night on a recent trip to Norway in a very well decorated room (11) in the main hotel building. All staff were really helpful and made us welcome. The hotel is up a fairly steep hill from the town centre, but it's a short walk and hills are hard to avoid here! The hotel is in a nice, quiet area. Breakfast was traditional Norwegian with fish, meats, cheese, jams etc. Plentiful and very nice. Tea / coffee and home made cake are served during the day. We left our bags during the day as we had a late flight and were invited back for coffee and cake before leaving. A nice touch.

Bergen is a charming city with a small town feel and the Hotel Park is an excellent choice if you're looking for a large, cozy, spotlessly clean room in a quiet but fairly central location. I felt right at home, slept extremely well and really liked the breakfast. Staff is unusually friendly. Also - at least when measured by Norwegian standards - the price was absolutely adequate. The Hotel Park is an excellent choice with a homely feel and I'll happily stay here again in the future.

This is a historic hotel located a 10-15 min walk up a steep hill from the train station. We got a very large room in the annex, across the street from the hotel. We were not bothered by the traffic outside our 1st floor corner room, although others might be. Our biggest problem was finding out in the morning that none of our mobiles, ipads or pc where charged during the night, because all sockets are disconnected when you turn off the lights. The hotel apologized, the electrical system was old, but we still had flat batteries.
The breakfast room was small and they had trouble finding room for everyone both days were were there. We didn't mind sharing a table with with others. The breakfast was ecological and offered many tasty options. If you look enough, you will also find the scrambled eggs.
The desk was friendly and helpful. We had free internet in our room.

We recently stayed in Park Hotel Bergen. It comprises the original house and an apartment building across the street. We got a large room in the apartment building, with secured entrance door, quiet and tastefully decorated hallways, and in the room, space, wifi, quality furnishing, and windows on three sides. The only drawback, and the management has warned all guests, was the noise made by university students who lived nearby during the night. They drank and talked in the streets until all hours.

The hotel is situtated on a hill and its location is wonderful for walks - to the university museum and other museums, to the park, to historic sites, and down the hill to the city centre. We visited at the end of August, and residential and campus streets were lined with flowering bushes; the weather was warm enough to sit outside but cool enough to stroll in the sun. There are posh hotels and cheaper digs in town, but Park Hotel combines quality with a taste of the residential so that a visitor would have the illusion of living in a flat. Ask for rooms in the newer building.

Hotel park is a small hotel convert from a historical building.it was situated in the city center, up on a small hill top. Walk from train station and e port just take only 10-15 minutes,
This hotel reception was very warm ,friendly and helpful.the room was a bit on the small side, but it's was very clean and quiet.
There are parking just outside the hotel ,you need to buy a parking permit. The breakfast is too simple, nothing to write home about.
Overall, for the price we paid, it has a good value.

This is a charming hotel, located near the university in Bergen. However, as it is a converted house, the walls are paper thin, and you can hear the neighbours (conversations / TV) as if they were in your own room. This is a shame, because otherwise the hotel is fine, nice, though small rooms, and it is in a nice part of time. The noise is the problem, and you are better off staying in one of the 'chain' hotels in town for a good nights sleep.

This was the best place we stay in Norway. We stayed in the separated building on the first floor. Our room was not facing the street but a little backyard, it was very quiet. For breakfast, you only need to cross the street to the main hotel. Breakfast was good, but with less choices than in other hotels. It can be very crowded at peak hours, better go early to beat the crowd.

Staff is very friendly. Rooms are modern & very clean (a little bit small but this is Europe!)

Location is great, near the university. You can walk to the fish market (about 20 minutes) or pick up the hop on hop off at the museum nearby.

Room Tip: The new building on the other side of the street seems fully renovated. Ask for a room in the Annex...
