We booked the hotel because it was one of the more reasonable ones in Bergen. Then we came to know that this hotel is used by patients and their relatives from the attached Haukeland hospital. So, our expectations were pretty much low.
But once we arrived, our apprehensions disappeared, The hotel is located a bit uphill and away from the city center (about 10 minute drive to the city center). But having rented the car, that was not an issue. The hotel offers parking, but it is expensive. But one can park easily in the surrounding streets.
The rooms are clean and like any other hotel. This isn't some fancy, romantic place to stay, but its a good, clean place with all facilities of a hotel. The breakfast offered is substantial and good. The staff is also quite helpful and friendly. And all this for very reasonable rates in a city, which otherwise is a quite expensive place to travel in.
So, if you are not dependent on public transport and not looking for a special, romantic place to stay in, I would unhesitatingly recommend this place...More
