The starter looked nice, the size of the dish was tiny. After we had started to eat our starter, the chef came and added one missing component to our plates. He wasn't regretting the happened. After two hours of our arrival I was asking that could they please explain why it can take two hours to get the main courses (most probably they had just forgotten our order). The waitress came and answered to my colleague that it is their mistake and offered free deserts. I said that I don't wan't the dessert, I'm tired and I want to go to sleep to the hotel. She told that she will remove my starter and main course from the bill (it was less than 20% of the total sum).

I went to this restaurant some days ago with some of my colleagues. I must recommend you all to avoid this restaurant by all means.
Food, service, knowledge and interior were rather what you can expect in a snack bar/fast food restaurant...

First of all, the location of the property the restaurant is place in is one of the best spots in Bergen city Centre, where you can have a great view of Bergen harbour. However, in this restaurant a 50 cm horizontal frame is surrounding all the windows and is blocking this spectacular view. Guess the Owner is a real scrooge, trying to save a couple of bucks while building this stuff… In addition, we sat in the left corner of the room where they also have located a terrace. We had a steady flow of people heading for this terrace where they could smoke. Of course cigarette smoke entered the restaurant together with freezing air of about 0 degrees Celsius (Bergen tends to a little bit cold wintertime…).

The waitresses lacked knowledge totally. They did not have any clues whatsoever of what kind of wines were listed in their wine list as well as give a recommendation how to accompany their wines with their a la carte menu. Ended up buying a wine the waitress picked randomly, which of course was not drinkable at all. I ended up drinking water instead.

The food itself is not worth rating at all!

The general atmosphere is insane. The building contains a la carte restaurants, pubs, piano bar, pizza restaurants and coffee shops. The restaurant shares their toilets with the pubs and is off course covered with graffiti.

I am sorry! I cannot recommend this place at all. Too bad really, as the location of the property is the best in Bergen. Do you self a favour and pick another restaurant when you are in Bergen. There are so many other nice places to go !

Brds,
Kris

My wife and I went to this restaurant twice while we were in Bergen. This is a new restaurant, which has been open for a little over a month and it's located in the white building by the fish market. The view from the restaurant is very nice as it overlooks the harbor. The decor inside is very nice and inviting, and there is an open kitchen which is very nice, and gives you a really good view of the food preparation.

The food was very good. The venison burger was so good, I had it twice! My wife had the pan seared trout the first day, which was very good. We also had the halibut tartar for a starter, and that too was very good. The second day we were there, my wife had the fish soup, and that was delicious.

After our meal on the second day, the chef came over to us before we left and she remembered that we were there the day before. We had a very nice conversation with her about the restaurant, as well as our travels through Norway. She was very nice and we enjoyed talking with her.

My only recommendation would be that the wait staff be a little more attentive to the patrons. It wasn't busy at all when we were there, so a few times we had to wait a period of time for the waitress to come back around to see if we needed anything such as drinks, etc. It wasn't excessive at all, and it wasn't something that left a negative impression of the place. It's just a friendly recommendation since this is a new restaurant.

Based upon our experience with this restaurant, I would say they are going to do well in Bergen. The overall experience of the atmosphere and food were very good, and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. If we travel back to Bergen, we will definitely dine here again.

This is a new restaurant on an upper floor of the white building behind the Fish Market. The restaurant has a nice decor and overlooks the harbor.

Since we were here on a Thursday, we ordered the raspeballer special which was a potato ball with sausage and meat and vegetables. The servings were very large and the food was tasty. While I won't have fond dreams about the raspeballer, we did have a pleasant meal. Our two entrees, one glass of house wine, and one soft drink was 450 Kroner.
