This hotel’s location is the best of any in Bergin! We were just passing through one night to get to our final destination. We walked around the cute town for hours. The rooms are tiny, but perfect for 1-2 nights. We were very impressed by the breakfast spread and expresso coffee machine. I’ve never stayed somewhere where a breakfast of this magnitude was complementary. It fills up fast, so get there right at 6:30 for the freshest selection. Wish we were staying another night!

Great rooms, spacious and comfortable with great amenities such as Nespresso and the like. Clean and fresh.

Excellent position on the harbour and accessible to all the best restaurants in the area. Helpful staff. Fabulous beds, slept very well.

We had a very comfortable short stay. Pleasant experience with the hotel staff. Found to be very well maintained. Room size was seen to be adequate. Breakfast had a sufficient spread and well presented.

- Dirty room, about we informed the reception.
Open Ice cream and half empty bottle in the mini bar, French Fries on the floor just 1cm under the bed, crumbs on the chair - everything from previous guest!
- included breakfast was not recognized in the booking and we have to prove it again
- breakfast staff was neither friendly nor asking if we would like to have something extra, as offered on the table
- “warm” food on breakfast buffet was cold (eggs, scrambled eggs, potatoes)
- room was NOT cleaned (regarding the points we mentioned)
- offered water and cookies at lobby looked like a battlefield
- unfriendly employees (uninterested)
- “Feedback is key” was standing on the room key leaflet. At checkout nobody asked for feedback. When I want to hand in my email address (as mentioned on the leaflet) the check out person was not aware of it and admit that she never read the leaflet
- room service was entering the room immediately after one silent knocking at the door

You would think this ideally located hotel was the cat's meow after reading the reviews here. And while it is in a great location, is is a more a motel with a good location and great breakfast.

The cruise ship sized, sparse rooms have the charm of a Norwegian hospital. They are tiny, cramped and have bathrooms that are literally just showers with a toilet. They OK for sleep, but they aren't special AT ALL or memorable.

The staff is friendly, but do not go out of their way to help. This almost feels like a self-serve hotel in that respect. But, the location is grand and provides access to the old town and all it has to offer. It is also a great location if you are departing on a cruise.

The breakfast that was included with our room was fantastic and a great start to the day.

Would I choose this hotel again? Probably not. I would look for something with more character and sense of place.

Room tip: There are very few rooms with any view.
