We had a pretty long holidays in Bergen in the end of October. We planned to go hiking right away when we arrived but due to rain (I would call it a storm) we could not make it but the Norway Mountain Guides were very flexible to help us re-arrange the trip. Eventually, the hike was our last activity, on our last day in Bergen, to wrap up our whole vacation. And, thank God, that decision is the one which cannot be more right to make. It went perfectly and we had the most wonderful experience ever. Why?
#1 - Bergen is beautiful and so its nature. The city from high view (we luckily made it to the sunset), snow on the mountains, then lakes, rocks, grass,... everything is even more beautiful than the things you are imaging.
#2 - We got the best preparation from our beloved guide (Hann... let her introduce herself when you meet her). One day before the trip, she called us to check on how we prepare for the trip with some useful advises and suggestions. On the day we hiked, I... stupidly 'created' a new path and ended up stepping in mud (very early since we started the trip). Of course, my shoes got wet. I even thought... "Done, our trip is done here!" But thank to Hann, she carried "the whole house" on her back to prepare for cases like this so I could continue the trip COMFORTABLY.
During the trips, she also told us a lot of information about Bergen (both history and culture, and especially snacks, yummy, hahaa).
In a nutshell, you definitely should book them, we booked them for TWO hikes. I promise you would not regret.
Wish you a wonderful trip,
