What a wonderful concept. We caught the boat for dinner at 6pm, motored across the water with a view of the fjord and outlying islands, then arrived at Cornelius at about 6:30pm to an incredible meal. The restaurant sits right on the water and specializes in seafood. They advertise "simple" preparations, but these were anything but simple dishes. We had 5 wonderful courses (no meat because we don't eat meat) including a barely cooked salmon that melted in our mouths. The dessert was great too, with chocolate ganache, a dollop of strawberry ice cream, and some cherry on the side. My one regret is that I wish we'd stayed the night at their guesthouse. That would have made it the perfect adventure!

Was lucky to be able experience restaurant Cornelius recently. A short boat journey to the island from Bergen followed by the best fish based meal I have had the privilege to taste. Great service and an owner who is happy to share a few stories with you. Location is stunning and the whole set up just works so well.

The restaurant is situated with a fantastic view of the sea. The food and wine was very good. Fish is off course a must. We also had the opportunity to come inside the wine cellar which is situated next to our table. All in all a high quality dinner

This restaurant is only reachable by boat. They serve only the freshest seafood. They cook whatever the season and the weather fits with. If it's cold they add spices if it's warm they work with a cooler fresher palate. You get what they serve so you should be adventurous. Everything was delicious. We had wolf fish today for lunch and a berry rhubarb dessert.

This place is a MUST if you stay in Bergen more than a few days (while the weather is good). It is exclusive and pricy, but it's worth it. Excellent seafood and relaxed, but very professional athmosphere.

Beautiful location by the water. You cannot drive there, but have to take a boat. The ride is included in the meny and they can pick you up "anywhere" in the Bergen area. (Or you can drive your own boat.)

Only thing they should (and could easily do) change is their side dishes. While the main course (seafood tower in our instance) was out of this world, the side dishes were not. But apart from that our visit was really something out of the ordinary. Highly recommended!
