Description: Ågot Lian Seafood Restaurant serves tasty Norwegian seafood in a Norwegian environment. We are inspired by traditional Norwegian cuisine, and we are using local produce from Trondelag. The menu will vary with season and availability of fresh produce. On our daytime menu you will find various traditional courses, like traditional fish cakes, shellfish, whale, fish soup, bacalao, fish & chips - and fish of the day. Price range 145 - 265 NOK. In the evening we offer a set menu where you can combine into a 3 - 6 course meal, price range 415 - 670 NOK. We typically use produce like scallops, crayfish, cod, halibut, saithe/coalfish and hake. We gladly provide recommendations on wine and local beer to match the selected menu. We have a fine selection of local craft beer in stock. Additionally, we offer seasonal specialties, like traditional lutefisk in November - December and traditional skrei (migrating cod, liver and roe) in January - March. We focus on healthy and natural food - using only fresh produce, reduced salt contents, healthy oils - and no added preservatives. All food is made from scratch at Ågot's. You'll find us in the middle of Trondheim, by the market square - in Sommergården, a historic building from 1777. Welcome!

Finally a bar where the food is healthy and tasty. At the end fish and chips are meant to be served with beer, aren't they?

The food is not good enough in order to cost what it did - I had fish and chips which were drowned in salt - with chips you buy at the supermarked - soggy and sad. I would have expected some kind of home made chips - it's not that diffucult to make after all. The batter around the fish had not been fried at the right temperature - so that as well was a dissapointment - because it was chewy and weird - not crunchy and delightful. The first bit of fish also had a slight fishy-taste - so I put that to the side. Wouldn't want to get sick.

The atmosphere was stiff and awkward with staff that dissapointed. Above average waiting time before the food arrived. Will not be back - and feel sad that I wasted my money there.

This traditions-based sea food venue at the central Torget square in Trondheim offers simple, yet high quality fare typical of the region. The modern, almost spartan locale has a friendly staff and the enthusiasm for the culinary is noticable. A fine selection of locally brewed beers is worth sampling, even if it may seem a bit pricey (we're in Norway, after all). You may also purchase some delicious produce like fiskekaker and bacalao over the counter.

Cracking fish n chips! Great little place for first class seafood and I love the fact that they feature only micro brewed beer!

Probably one of the best seafood restaurants I've been to in Norway. This is very basic Norwegian seafood, but well prepared and with that little extra touch. It is also extremely good value. In addition to the food they stock the complete line of products from Kinn brewery, one of the best breweries in Norway and very good even on an international scale. Those beers are worth a visit on their own. They are also pleasantly priced.
