The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable; all you need. A bit expensive but what isn't in Norway these days. Breakfast is a treat with almost anything available. You are in the middle of town, right on the river so access to town, restaurants and shops was easy

Room Tip: We stayed on an upper floor with a good view of the river.

During my stay in September I found both service and facilities to very good. The hotel is quite large, in Norwegian terms anyway. Excellent location for shops etc downtown. I slept well and the breakfast was fantastic. This hotel is a good and safe choice, and defintely good value for money!

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel, and it wasn't too expensive. The unusual design was described in the Rough Guide to Scandinavia as being in the style of the old timber warehouses that it replaced. There are still lots of these warehouse buildings in the area. The hotel itself was covered in almost acres of glass, which made it distinctive. I had a fairly small room on the top floor, but I don't need lots of space! There was a great view from the room.

I was particularly impressed with the breakfast, which provided great value. A whole host of different foods were available. There is a fine view of the river, the neighbouring warehouse buildings and marina from the breakfast restaurant. The hotel itself is within a fairly easy walk of everywhere in the city. I walked all over!

To start with the design of the hotel is ugly, and inside I felt like I was in a jungle.

What annoyed me the most was the gym, it is located beside the swimming pool and there is no ventilation, it was as if I have been running the treadmill in a sauna and the equipment are not in such a good shape either.

Our window did't open it was directly viewing the area close to the restaurant, and the AC broke at night... felt like sleeping in a sauna as well....

The restaurant was crowded and no where to sit, we had to find a place outside the restaurant area, I saw that so many people gave similar comments so it is a problem that is reoccurring and has not been dealt with in by the hotel.

The only good thing was the check, it was fast!!

Room Tip: Go to Rica hotel, it is the best in Trondheim, I have spent one night in SAS and one in Rica. Big di...

This hotel is in a nice location, not far from the central railway station or the centre of town. The check in experience was very good. The room was spacious, quiet and well furnished. The biggest shortcoming was that it didn't have any tea making facility. But when asked, the reception immediately sent up an electric kettle, cups and some teabags/coffee sachets. The buffet breakfast was lovely, with a very impressive selection of food on offer. The sauna/swimming pool facilities were very good. The room rate was very reasonable.

This hotel is not the average raddison hotel. Difficult to open windows. looks a bit scruffy to me. No tea and coffe in room Could have been a lot better for the brand of hotel.Near the shops in Trondheim, and one could easily find what they wanted.
