“Bakeriet - thanks for a great stay!”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

This is an excellent hotel with character, being a quant old building with interesting references to its past use as a bakery - good location and very helpful staff - lovely receptionists!. The food was excellent and the evening buffet included in the room price. Highly recommend this hotel instead of any of the large conference hotels in Trondheim. I stayed for 5 nights in September.

Location (approximately 15 minutes walk from the center) - on a quiet street, covered parking area hotel (check in the parking lot but on the other street parking and hotel sector is located in a separate section of the city park - not just figured out), the number is quite comfortable, friendly staff (helped deal with the parking sector, the hotel).

The old plumbing (as, indeed, the whole hotel), very bad food (both breakfast and dinner - does not meet even the Continental Breakfast in the other Nordic countries). So eat in the city (next to the hotel are many cafes and restaurants)

I was there late June as the starting point of a 3800 km motorcycle tour of Norway. We (ten motorcyclists) arrived together with hundreds of cyclists who would pedal to Oslo the following morning! Needless to say the hotel was totally booked, people and bicycles going in and out. And the staff didn´t bat an eyelash! Service was excellent, people were very helpful with directions, room clean, quiet and comfortable.

Located in a quiet street in the middle of the city, this is a great place to stay when visiting Trondheim. We got a room on the fourth floor that was spacious and clean. The floor was really noisy to walk on, since this is and old building. Bathroom was okay, but the shower a bit worned,it was hard to get the shower doors together.
The best thing with this hotel was that there were both breakfast and an evening meal available, this was included in the room price. It was also possible to have a afternoon snack and coffe free of charge as well.
There was a gym on the top floor, together with a sauna and a roof terrace, didnt try any of it, but it looked really nice.

This hotel is a great place to have as a base to explore Trondheim. The staff was REALLY helpful & the breakfast & dinner that came with the room were very filling. In an expensive town that helped a lot! Our room was pretty good size & very charming. The bikes that they have for you to use were another plus. The rooftop patio was also very nice. A great value!

Cosy nice hotel centrally located in Trondheim. The staff do the most to make sure you have a great stay. We had a room on ground floor (and that's the reason for giving "average" on sleep quality, the bed and linens were very comfortable), which was very noisy as people on the outside walking towards the pub knocked on our window!

The breakfast buffet was good, a selection of cold cuts, cereals, scrambled eggs, baked beans, sausages and the possibility to make your own eggs. Waffles are served from 3 to 6 pm and there's an evening buffet as well (we didn't try it). With the central location you have no problems wallking to Nidarosdomen and other tourists sights.

Bonus: The hotel is only a five minute walk from the train station!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floors
