Drømmeplassen is a modern Norwegian(?) bakery/café in from the same mold as Godt Brød and United Bakeries, but less franchisey, more itself. Very popular. First you have to find a table, it might be cleared. You go to the counter and order and later collect your food. Self-service water and cutlery. The service they do have is friendly and helpful.
The interior is some kind of modernist/urban minimalist/retro mix. Large open doors to the outside. Good effect IMHO.
The food is based on bread and baked goods and is all very good. It is easy to find something the kids (at least our kids) will like.
The bread is very good and baked in their own wood burning oven.
Good selection of smoothies and other fresh juices/fruit/berry drinks. The coffee might be the best in Kristiansand.
