“The original fish spot im town”
Review of Fiskebrygga

Fiskebrygga
Ranked #48 of 68 Restaurants in Arendal
Cuisines: Norwegian
Description: Now you can sit both indoors and outdoors over water and enjoy food, drinks and the vibrant life in and around Pollen. We have fair prices, and on Fridays we're even more fair. Welcome, and cheers! We also have a shop selling fish and shellfish, and we have the best fish cakes in the area. Welcome for a pleasant shopping experience. Bon Apetite!

Fiskebrygga is the original fish spot in Pollen, the charming small boat harbour. Fiskebrygga is the place to buy you fresh fish, the mussels, the posters, all fruit de meer. It also have an attached folksy pub, serving various fish courses. And here you can have the locally brewed beer from Arendals Bryggeri - labelled 1839. Do not buy the so-called Arendalspils that label was stolen by one of these major industrial breweries. Arendalspils is brewed in Oslo. Stay clear.

At the pub, I had the fish & chips. It was ok, but they still can work on adding more taste.

Arendal is an expensive place to eat, but we found Fiskebrygga to be on the budget side all in all. The place is quite plain, no white tablecloth place.
You order and pay your food at the counter, and get it served at the table. We ate fish and chips and found it good. The only minus was the wine, which tasted as if it had been put water in it. I can read that a lot of people are dissatisfied with the food here, we were not.On the countrary, we found the food here not overprized, as was the case on severeal other restaurants in Arendal.
If you want a quck meal with no fuzz, this is the place. But do not expect Michelin standard.

Went to Marcus Samulson new restraunt. After 5 minutes someone finally helped us. Asked about seafood and she sent us to Fiskebrygga. What a pleasant surprise. Best pelsner beer ever. Started with shrimp open sandwich. If only shrimp tasted like this in United States! Next was the fish and chips, wonderful ! Don't miss this gem.

We had Fish and Chips for 100NOK, it is a event for restaurant this week. We found the fish tasty and fresh. The texture of the coating was great until the last bite. They even have salad along the side.
