“Fantastic food.”

Had the "Grand Meny" in the Munch resturant. The seafood was probably the best I have tasted, and the rest of the meny was very good. Wine package was nice but too expencive compared to what you got in the glass, and no more than one small glass of each wine even if you were empty.

Location is perfect, and to enjoy food in a room with 7 original works by E. Munch is something special. The food was 5 stars, the wine package was not considering the very expensive price.

I recently stayed here on business for one night only. After a flight delay i arrived in the snow cold and very hungry it was about 11.15pm and i was told that there was no food available and would have to eat the pack of peanuts in the room. What a great start! The room itself was quite qaint if not a little twee but the bed was comfortable and the bag of peanuts was actually quite tasty. In the morning i awoke very hungry and proceeded to breakfast and asked the chef if there was a hot breakfast option to which he replied yes and would take my order. i ordered the standard breakfast fair bacon sausage egg and was surprised when it arrived and there actually was only one egg one rasher of bacon and a chipolata. I found the place a bit odd to be honest. the building is amazing but they seem to lack an understanding of what customer service should be. Shame because im sure it could be good.

Vi bestilte romantisk aften (rom + middag). Valgte superior rom, som var skittent og slitt. Hotellet var generelt rotete med skitten "oppvask" liggende overalt. Ingen personlig service.
Frokosten manglet brød....
Restauranten var fantastisk med utmerket vinmeny.

Vi hadde planer om bryllupsfering her. Det er uaktuelt.

NB!

The room was of average size and standard, but the service and friendliness of staff both at the hotel and the restaurant is very good!! Breakfast inside the garden glass-house is spectacular. The hotel has a restaurant perfect for a romantic evening with first class food and service. Ask for a tour down in the wine-cellar - it is impressive.

I stayed in Moss on business, this hotel looked like the best of what was available. The town itself isn't very impressive, but the hotel exceeded my expectations! It was impressive looking from the outside, and the interior has been classily remodeled from its 18th-century roots.

The hotel staff really made this stay for me - they were accommodating, charismatic, and kind. They went above & beyond (serving dinner late, printing documents I needed) very simply.

The single room was actually pretty nice, with a private balcony, furniture, comfy bed, and free wifi (fast!). The bathroom was great too, and very clean!

The only detractor was the cost, but honestly, you're taking a BIG step down to stay anywhere else in Moss and I doubt if you'll save much.

The breakfast at Refsnes is almost worth the trip in itself. In a pavillion on the lawn facing the fjord you get freshly baked bread, local delicacies and all kinds of great things served with great service. We never tried the restaurant but it's supposed to be very good as well.

The hotel as such is not much to brag about, but reasonably nice. Spacious but slightly dated rooms, also with nice views. The internet is free and there is 24 hour reception service.

The location is very nice as far as the views are concerned, but quite far from everything and tricky to find as it's right in the middle of a residential area. If you for whatever reason happen to spend a night in Moss it's however a nice place to stay.

We booked in to Hotell Refsnes Gods for a quiet spa weekend - and was placed in a room between two wedding-parties... The one with a live band playing until 2 a.m. right above our room, and a very loud party going on until 3.30. The hotel management must have approved the live band until 2 am in the hall right above our room, and it shows complete lack of judgment. It frankly took me a week to recover from the lack of sleep after my much needed holiday.
