If you have visited Thailand once and regrets being unable to go back in reality, you can get a tiny flash-back by going to Yaya's. The food is just like one remembers it from Thailand, and the interior is perfectly designed to remind you of the early onset of sunset in Thailand. The only thing missing is the omnipresent fragrance of flowers. Have had three meals here over the years, and have always been content with level of service. Prices are reasonable. Recommended!

Surprising this place is not ranked in the top 100 or at least top 50 of restaurants in Oslo. If you consider the whole picture: quality of food, cost, atmosphere and service (in that order), this place is way better than most that receive higher ranking on TA (uber-lame Peppe´s Pizza and Egon are two regrettable Oslo chain restaurants that come to mind). But I digress...To the uninitiated, this is quite a creative, fun little place to come for good Thai food that´s reasonably priced. The latter is not to be taken lightly when dining out in Oslo since the most straight-forward, basic food here is insanely overpriced and quite often, just average. A lot of thought was put into creating a authentic Thai beach bungalow vibe and for anyone who´s ever been to a real one in Thailand it will definitely take you back! We ordered several different dishes, all of them super tasty and reasonable size portions. They have a cocktail menu which is good, but could use an overhaul. Many comments here point to dodgy service by the waitstaff, which we thankfully did not receive - our waiter was friendly and attentive. We´ll be back!

Fun place to eat, good atmosphere, but think one would get tired of the 'monsoon' effect gimmick if one came often.
Food authentic thai but we got no help from waiter with explanation of the courses we were unfamiliar with and ended up with very similar dishes unfortunately. The lemon grass soup was served without instruction to the uninitiated not to try to eat everything in the bowl and end up with a twig in their throat. Some of the crockery was plastic which may have been for the thai effect but didn't impress. Get staff that know about Thai food!

The atmosphere in this restaurant is pretty amazing. Really relaxing and Thai like. The thunderstorms are funny and a nice way to instantiate from competitors. The food was very tasty and good. Service was friendly, though a bit slow. Had to wait quite long for our food to be served. From the outside and during your first steps down to the basement you're really thinking what the heck is this place. Once inside, you'll enjoy it. Nice to enjoy for once for sure and possibly to return to in the future.
