“The local's secret”
Reviewed August 20, 2012 via mobile

This place has got it all. You can't get tastier food at this price in all of Norway. It is located in the middle of the most multinational area of Oslo. The locals love the place and we pity the tourists who wander into the place next doors with an almost identical name.

Me and my husband eat here every time we fancy a curry, even though we don't live nearby at all.

Vegetar blanding is my favourite. It's a mix of three vegetarian dishes, served with rice and naan. The price is 60 kroner! You can ask for pickles on the side. The beer is 30 kroner. Try the Indian beer.

The lamb dishes are also very tasty, especially the lam karhai, which costs 95 kroner.

The guy working there doesn't smile much. But he remembers every single order. Our vegetarian visitor from uk wants to go here every time he visits and the guy remembers his order too.

“Value for money authentic Indian food at a very relaxed environment”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

if u want to have good tasting Indian food in a very informal environment and very reasonable rate, this is the place you shud be in

I just enjoyed both my outings here. Once I ordered a vegeterian thali which had 1 vegetable, 1 big roti, rice, dal and salad. it cost me only 60 NOK. Other time I ordered chinken tika with rice and 1 roti, that cost me 95 NOK.
The person on the counter is very courteous and will help you to order the right dish as per your taste and apetitie

Overall a highly recommended place

“Good Indian food without Norwegian prices”
Reviewed June 13, 2012

Don't go to this place expecting a fancy fit down area. It is mostly a take away place with tables inside and outside. Food quality is certainly above average considering the price that they charge for it.

Being vegetarians, we ordered a Thali which was quite good. Definitely recommend for visitors who prefer to stick to Indian food or those who cannot adjust to Norwegian food and wish to try something different.

“You got to love this”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

The place takes you away from Oslo for an instance, you'll be full after a great indian "street" food filling and allmost indian prices. The chai is the closest youll find in Oslo to the real thing.
