Description: Rice Bowl is a small, informal Thai café located by the square Youngstorget. Thai artifacts and bamboo on the walls gives the café an oriental feel to it. Sometimes they also play Thai music. At Rice Bowl you can choose between a selection of Asian dishes, mainly Thai noodle dishes. This is a popular place, so you may have to wait a few minutes to get a table. Once you've ordered, the food usually arrives quickly, and you can get a good portion at a cheap price.

We had been out in the rain for a few hours when we started looking for this restaurant and although it took a bit of searching to find (not helped by not knowing how the roads are laid out over here) it was well worth it. The portion sizes are big and about what we would expect to pay at home in the UK. Meals come super fast as well which was welcome and include loads of vegetables so it feels healthy. We visited about 3:30pm and the place was busy with very few spaces free. It doesn't serve alcohol but with the prices being so high over here I don't think its really an issue.

Tasty thaifood at very reasonable prices in Oslo centrum. Always made of fresh and good ingredients and the portions served is large according to Norwegian standards.

No alcohol, but still the place is mostly crowded and one must expect to walk the line in early afternoons.

This is the place to get high quality food and to get full at surprisingly low prices. Usually my first choice when etaing out in Oslo.

Very international clientel, here norwegians definitively are in minority, it could be situated anywhere at the planet, but the good food makes it possible to live with that for a meal... :D

Perhasp too crowded to bring families in the rush hour, but at other times ogf the day also that goes fine...

The service isnt over the hill hill, its busy but sufficient... Also the food is very delicate served, it reminds me of rich colorite paintings...It looks good, smells good, tastes good and does good.

I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to eat well on a budget. The prices are low for Oslo, but the food is very good. The place is often crowded, so one might has to wait a while.

Took a little finding from the train station but only about 5 mins walk. Busy when we arrived not long after 6pm so had to wait for table as it's not very big. Wasn't a problem, but the staff just ignore you til a table is free. Once we got a table the service was fine and friendly. They don't have a licence so water and soft drinks only, although at Oslo beer prices that just makes it cheaper. Food arrived promptly and was good but maybe on the bland side. This is more of a cafe than a restaurant but worth a visit and reasonable for Oslo price wise.

Good prices for Oslo near the center of the city. More of a younger restaurant. Service was below average but the food was tasty. Recommended for a quite dinner, not a really a place to spend an evening for a nice meal, but good for a quick feed.
