Description: Beach Club is a classic American diner, and after 20 years at Aker Brygge, it has become a legend on the Oslo social scene. Guests span from business people and artists to locals and families. The Florida-inspired diner serves comfort food such as famous burgers and breakfasts, as well as classic salads and sandwiches. If you want something sweet after dinner, you can try one of the home-made milk shakes, a banana split or a piece of Beach Club cheesecake. Beach Club's extensive selection of drinks includes a great wine list, American beers from small and large breweries, and many other tasty beverages.

The place to see and be seen, great portions of club food. Great view.

No problem getting a table here on a Wednesday evening after trip to cinema. It was very quiet, which detracted from the buzzing atmosphere this diner normally enjoy at weekends. Sat in a booth inside which was comfy and intimate.
Speedy service was appreciated, but odd that the waiter was puzzled when I queried what house wine they served. "French," was his answer, "But what type" I asked, "Not sure. A Malbec, I think," he replied. In the end he came to the table with a pleasant bottle of Montepulciano.
I had a standard cheese and bacon burger, with enough bacon to feed a family of hungry boys, while my companion had the moules frites. My burger was good, but not the best I have ever eaten. Chips had a strong oil taste, but the were perfectly edible. My friend's mussels were delicious, prepared by the French chef, we were told.
So all in all a better than average dining experience, but not exceptional.
Bill came to NOK 500 for two main courses and two glasses of wine. Reasonable enough for Oslo.

So, theres nothing wrong here. Its an American diner, tastes as it should. Prices are ok considering its on Aker Brygge. If this is the food you want, this is the place for it. Good service unless its a hot summer day and crowded.
