Description: Delicatessen Grunerlokka serves Spanish tapas made from a combination of Norwegian and Spanish ingredients. We pride ourselves on using the best ingredients available. I.E. All of our fried food is fried in Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Montabes in Jaen, Andalucia. The Montabes oils are known for their high level of antioxidants and actually adds flavor and nutrients to the food. This is an expensive way to fry food but only the best is good enough for us. All of our hams come from specially selected producers. Our main supplier of hams is Casalba in Burgos. At Casalba knowledge of how to make the finest hams, chorizo etc has been passed down for several generations. We are proud to be able to offer their world class products to our customers. We aim to create a relaxing atmosphere with great food combined with the best tintos, blancos and rosados Spain can offer.

“Great tapas!”
Reviewed March 20, 2014 via mobile

Went to the Holmensgate one. Really nice tapas and service. In a low key warehouse type atmosphere. Free wifi, good service and my favourites, such as fried chorizo, pan con tomate, garlic and chili scampi etc..

“Favourite tapas in Oslo”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

As most of the reviewers here, I have to praise the tapas at Delicatessen. Everything I've tasted here has been very tasty. You might have to wait for a while before your seated, but it's worth it if your not in a hurry. Not the place for a big group, but for a couple or a few friends - go for it!

“Goats cheese and honey is a must”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

Yes, it's small and cramped but totally worth it. We went on a Saturday night at about 7 and managed to get a seat at the bar within 15 minutes - a table would have been a longer wait. Being sat at the bar did mean we had some people behind us standing and drinking in close proximity though, so if that would annoy you, definitely wait for a table. The wine is expensive, but the food is reasonably priced (for Oslo) and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The Goats cheese in Honey dish was my favourite - very rich but delicious. Couldn't fault it and would definitely go back.

“Love this place”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I love that it is small, crowed place, with so good food, the best tapas I have tasted. At the place in Grünerløkka you can't call and reserve a table, you have to go there and the waiter writes your name on a list if the place is full. And it is not expensive!

“My all time favorite in Oslo”
Reviewed March 7, 2014

Delicatessen is on top of my list, they have two other branches in Oslo (Majorstuen and Aker Brygge), but my favorite is still the first one in Sondregate in the neighborhood Grünerløkka. They serve the best tapas in Oslo, you must try the chicken wings, the meatballs, patatas bravas, the chevre cheese plate, the asparagus, the fried artichokes and the chorizo. 3 items per person is enough, but add some bread with aioli too. Be sure to bring friends, so you can taste several dishes. The place is packed in peak hours, sometimes you need to wait an hour or more for a table, but the bar is cozy while you wait.
