“Good Food - Great Staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014

Had a nice lunch, chatted with two waiters who were very friendly.

Service was good and fast, food very nice.

Not badly priced either (well, for Norway!)

Would visit again.

“Average everything apart from the poor service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2014

Went here one evening in July for a couple of burgers and some cocktails. Despite it being very empty for a hardrock the staff, which outnumbered the customers, all seemed to be walking around aimlessly and not actually doing anything! It took an absolute eternity to ask for and get our bill paid.

The burgers and cocktails were fine but the service really let this place down.

“Great party but strange dresscode issue”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2014

Me and my girlfriend were here at new years eve 2013/2014. We came in around 9 p.m. and had some (quite expensive, but hey, it's Norway) beers until one of the bouncers start storming trough the cafe and started to tell people they could finish their drinks, but then had to leave because they weren't dressed according to the dresscode. Note that this was around 11 p.m. One hour before midnight, on new years eve. While nobody had been told about a dresscode when entering the cafe earlier. Also note that I wasn't dressed like a backpacker who hadn't had a shower in 10 days. No, I was wearing a neat shirt, buttoned up to the very top and was wearing my brown suede Vans. Decent clothes, even my grandma would agree.

Unfortunately the bouncer wasn't having it. He told us that if we didn't agree we should speak to the manager. So we asked him to get the manager. The manager came up to us and it became clear that he wasn't dressed much different than me. Okay, his shoes were black, in stead of my brown ones, but they were exactly the same model. Like Vans. Sneakers. I pointed this out to him and my girlfriend gave him a quick update on our spending behaviour that night. Eventually he disappeared for a while and than came back telling us we could stay, but we had to stay in that particular corner until 1 a.m. and after that we could move around again. We laughed at each other, completely surprised by the fact that we just cracked the system, but also because of the set limitations. We needed a drink again :)

To summerize. What kind of bar throws out tourists that are having a good time and are spending money only an hour before the new years eve countdown in a city that is not packed with other partyplaces to go to? And what bar is letting their personel where sneakers, sportshoes and baseball caps at the same time as they're sending people off about their choice of clothes? Even their slogan on the outside says: love all, serve all.

Besides this weird dress code issue, I still have to compliment the DJ. I'm not sure if it was the many drinks we ordered or his DJ skills, but we had a blast the rest of the night.

“Decent place to stop”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2013

I have been to hundreds of HRC around the globe.. this one has a bit of a different vibe to it.. it has a small but nice little rock shop.. and the food is good, although a bit expensive but thats not the HRC fault.. it's just a bit of a pricey country. I certainly was not disappointed in my visit here, but at the same time, it was not a big knockout either… worth a souvenir visit anyway

“Worst hrc I've been to”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2013 via mobile

I went here because I tried and loved the veggie burger in barcelona. It was not on the menu. Ordered instead the salmon. Well, it was a piece of over cooked fish, 3 pieces of broccoli and a small scoop of mashed potatos. Most definitly NOT worth the price. That they didnt have any beer or sodas, only limonade...

Spend your money elsewhere! :)

Hi.
First of all i would like to thank you for taking the time to write to us. All feedback is good feedback and a way for us to improve and get better.

As i read your feedback I know that on that very special night all our beer system and sodas where down and it was a nightmare that off course it was not fun for you as our guest not to be able to get what you wanted to order. And we are sorry for that and hope that you will give us a chance to prove you wrong in the near future.

When it comes to the veggie burger, there are a few different options around the world at different Hard Rocks. We have one but maybe not the same as the one in Barcelona. Hope you get to try one day.

Thank you and Best Regards.
