I visited Mr Hongs after reading other peoples reviews about the place. It was, as described, very busy indeed but they soon found a table for the two of us. The table itself was a problem because it was big enough for two plates, two glasses and the salt and pepper but not a lot else so when your food arrives the table becomes a mess of stacked dishes!

That aside the food was excellent, very tasty and beautifully presented, but as with all things Norwegian astonishingly expensive! 2 small pancake roll starters, 4 small dim sum starters, crispy duck for two, 2 small desserts and two cokes = £107!!!

The service was good, if not a little chaotic, due to us having a 'new' waitress who simply didn't know what to do it seemed, but I'm sure she'll soon get the hang of it.

Its obviously popular with the locals and with tourists and there is a real buzz around the restaurant which makes for a great atmosphere - if its a quiet, romantic meal for two you're after I'd say go elsewhere!

All-in-all, all things considered (including the average price of anything in Norway), its a good place to go.

This place is fantastic, especially the buffet where you see the chiefs frying the vegetables / meat / sea food right in front of you. Extremely tasty and fresh, and I never get bored of this place.

Also I like the design of this restaurant, with a little river where the water is flowing with coy fish which makes you enjoy the atmosphere.
The service is also great, and I find the waiters/waitresses to be very caring and kind.

A very suitable place for a date with your lover, for friends, and for family dinner.

Was running around in Oslo on the hunt for a restaurant which has a table for two available as we coincidentally landed in Oslo for the football cup finale weekend (completely unintentionally and unknown), for that reason, most restaurants were busy and full.

Luckily Mr. Hong had at that timing available seats, though a bit crowded there (football supporters everywhere). The service was good, quick and effective. The food was great, ordered from the menu. The value for was acceptable in my opinion, as I'm used to the price point in Norway.

The place is kind of small but always crowded with south east asian tourist. Do not try the buffet, its horrible. The only good thing is if u r craving for chinese food, try the a la carte, its somewhat better.
