“Christmas in August”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

Alongside Oslo Fjord the small and typical Nordic town holds a wonderful shop that brings the child out of all of us. Inthe midst of the pretty streets and church and main square is the Christmas shop where every day is Christmas Day where the shop is filled with gifts decorations and some display items of christmas for everones delight. Even the local post office has joined in by having stamps and items you can send by post from Christmas. A small walk from the main square down to the fjord gives some very nice views of the islands and communities that surround the stretch of water.

“wasn't impressed”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

we came here on the way back to the airport because it was recommended in both our travel guides. I think it might have been because of the rainy weather that I can't give it a better vote. Yes, it is a cozy town and on a sunny day possibly really nice to walk around, but not in the rain. the best part of it was probably the 'Jule Hus' or Christmas House. All year round you can buy things to trim your next tree. Nice place!

“10K Run in Drobak”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

I ran the Blomster Mila 10k run in Drobak while vacationing in Norway and Sweden. Going to Drobak was a great escape from the city (Oslo). It's about an hour bus ride from Oslo. The town is charming. I wish I could have stayed longer to check out some of the local restaurants. The people were friendly. Many of them cheered the runners on as they passed by.

“a little fishing village also home of Santa”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

There are many things you can do in Drobak, but my favourite is to visit Santa in his office next to the entrance of the marine museum. You can also stroll by the port and walk the small town streets full of flowers. The fish soup is excellent at a small little white restaurant overlooking the port.

“Beautiful town, worth a visit”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

Definitely worth a visit for lunch or coffee. Easy to get to from Oslo. Only about 25 minutes by car. And you can drive through the tunnel under the Oslo Fjord to drive back the opposite way to Oslo, stopping by the ski jump.
