Colorful wooden interior with interesting sculpture and alterpiece.
This building is smaller than it appears on the outside. It is ringed by small antique and craft shops which are also worth a visit. Across the street from the cathedral is a large colorful flower market.

We walked to the Cathedral from the waterfront and it was worth the walk. Very peaceful if not spectacular with a lovely flower market just across the road.

Only saw this from the outside. Hope it is better inside because the outside is rather unassuming for a capital city Cathedral. Shame. Still good to use to get your bearings.

Having seen cathedrals in Rome and other European cities, you won't be impressed by this one. It is simple, with beautiful mosaics, and very peaceful atmosphere. I was surprised to find an artwork there (a sort of golden egg two meters high) apparently not connected to religion in any way but representing a general reflect-on-yourself/world-motif. I guess it just shows how broad-minded those in charge are.

As many church it offers a quiet peace, central in Oslo, small and beautiful. Very nice arcade garden behind with restaurant and cafes in the summer.
