“Nice if it's not raining”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

This area by the sea is a nice place to relax and watch the world go by. If it's raining, it's not quite as enjoyable obviously.

“Aker brygge - most relaxing and stylish promenade”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

Awesome location to take a walk or have brunch or dinner on a summer day, especially if you are fun of fish and seafood!!! This is actually where you can take a boat to nearby Oslo fjords but also a recently constructed promenade with stylish shops and restaurants and a brand new museum! Just opposite the castle!

“Definitely Go Here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

This is the harbor area, filled with restaurant and musicians, and now a modern art museum designed by the architect, Renzo Piano (privately owned, but unfortunately closed when we were there). On a Thursday evening, there was so much activity all around us and adjoining the water views. The restaurants were various and packed with people. A walk from here to the Oslo Opera House would be a fun thing to do when one first gets to Oslo.

“beautiful place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

we walked here since it was close to our hotel, the Clarion Bastion. After having walked down Karl-Johan-Gate, we were really bracing ourselves. But the Aker Brygge is worth a stroll. It is an old ship yard, no longer used for that purpose. Now there is great architecture and there are nice places to sit and have a drink. People were well dressed and no beggars! Everything was as expensive as we were used to by now, but at least they took our money in a classy way ;-) At the beginning of Aker Brygge you will see the Nobel Peace Prize center. It was closed to the public for a private event, otherwise we would have liked to have gone through.

“Chill Out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

You can take a stroll, eat, drink and relax. There are also some very good restaurants here. There is also an art museum at the end of the street. A very nice place to spend the evening.
