It was Sunday night and the restaurant was pretty full. They ran out of bread and only offered us tea of coffee as substitute. We were asking for something starchy as the substitute, e.g., mashed potato, as it is late while coffee and tea would keep us awake, and was denied.

The hamburger that we ordered was as tough as brick. Couldn't understand how can a Tripadvisor rated 4.5 star restaurant can screw up so badly on a simple hamburger???

Atmosphere was interesting. Definitely not standard.
Wine list was short but choice is decent and price is reasonable.
Cons:
I tried reindeer stew that somebody recommended on this forum. Not impressive at all. I do not know which body part they use. But something tell me this part should usually go to the dog food. I ate better reindeer dishes in Oslo. So it is not specific to reindeer.
Natural coffee did not taste better then from any coffee machine.

Elegant atmosphere, candlelight, pleasant environment, but what was spectacular was the reindeer stew, in brown cheese sauce. Norwegian brown cheese is a specialty, the cheese is caramelized and tastes sweet.
Prices as average, one main about 290 NOK.

At first blush I thought this would be a great meal. The menu had lots of interesting items, featured local products, and had a nice feel. The spinach bread to start was great. The parsnip apple soup was very good, but main courses disappointed. Lamb, mussels, and fish were all over cooked. The mussels hadn't been well bearded. The risotto was so so. Some were happy with the reindeer stew. Only the salmon was a hit.

I was their for dinner , we eat some nice fish , everything was very good , they attention to details , and prices are low . It is nice place to eat in Oslo
