I liked this tiny restaurant. Friendly service from a nice lady, lovely interior, very tasty food. I was really glad we walked in here, but the downside was when we got the bill we noticed the prices in the menu were exclusive VAT. Still it was a reasonable price, but I think that's kind of cheating on the customers.

Thank you for your review. You have misread the bill I'm afraid. All norwegian restaurants has prices with VAT. Included on the menu, always. Please have another look at the bill and you will see that all prices are correct. We would be happy if you took you're time to correct this in you're review also.

Best regards

Jacob

When many people visit Oslo, they want to try "typical Norwegian food." Even though they're generally interested in typical ingredients, rather than truly traditional dishes, I still struggle to think of restaurants that won't break the bank. I'm extremely pleased to find a new suggestion!

This charming little cafe, just around the corner from the National Gallery, seems to embrace visitors (English menu, friendly service), and it should still appeal to locals. The menu is built around ingredients that most people would identify as Norwegian (salmon, cod, reindeer) and uses them in delicious (and generous) dishes. Honestly, the portion size was a bit astonishing, especially considering the very reasonable prices.

This will definitely go at the top of my "Out-of-Town Visitors' List" and frankly I'm looking forward to the excuse to go back and try a few more dishes!

Delicious summer salad, reindeer stew with potatoes, and fanastic spinach bread. Great service. Good prices.

A lovely restaurant, and very reasonably priced by Oslo standards. We had a shared starter, 2 mains, 2 desserts, 3 glasses of wine & 1 double espresso and the cost was around 1000NEK.

Friendly staff and good atmosphere - fairly informal and not overly 'posh' so probably not one for a special romantic meal. However, great for a group of friends or couple who are after good quality at a good price.

Food was excellent!
