Mr. Bay is a Thai restaurant located at Tjuvholmen, a recently developed area close by Aker Brygge and almost neighbor to the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art. I started off with a Dry Martini aperitif which appeared promptly. Nice and dry but they didn't ask me what brand of gin I wanted.

Had the 9 course menu with accompanying wine menu. The menu consist of 3 starters, followed by the main courses consisting of 3 seafood and 3 meat dishes. Starters were small but exquisite, accompanied by a nice Riesling. Main courses were served from 6 cylindrical bowls on a circular platter. I got a very nice Gevürztraminer with the seafood courses. All courses were very good and the same applies to the meat dishes. Service was also very good.

We had the menu with many dishes and that make one taste many different things from starters to main course. And I must say I like the fact of sharing food, but not everything was so exiting. Many dishes were just nice while others as the scampi in spicy sauce, the biff in the main course, where really nice.
The service was efficient but our waiter was a bit too arrogant, not really keen on letting us actually understand the dishes, and irritated if you asked more like getting water, an ashtray and so.
The location in Tjuvholmen is ok even within an allé, and the inside is beautiful.
A nice place but there are many good chinese in Oslo, and this is not the best one in my opinion.

Situated in the new area of Aker Brygge, this restaurant offers indoor and outdoors tables. If you stay outside there are warming lamps and blankets available.
The menu presents a good selection of Asian food tradition, and beers from Japan, Thailand and Vietnam (89 nkr a little bottle). Portions are big.
The quality is high, even of the service.
For one starter, main dish and a beer you spend 550 nkr

Food here is great and the staff is attentive. Modern asian restaurant with ok prices for an expensive city as Oslo..
I've been her for business dinners, family dinners, couple's dinners and big dinners with friends, and this place never let's me down. Fresh asian-style dishes. Ask the staff to recommend wine, they've been well trained.
