great location, direct on the central station
So just as you come out from the fast train from airport you are at the hotel, good for walking around the center and easy access to metro. Hotel is a bit old with a modern touch with automatic check which did not work but was solved. Room was small and sort of window less, bed is hard, bathroom nordic style.breakfast is as well nordic style but quite decent, quite crowdy
High priced but i guess for norway still ok.
Check out was fast

A nice hotel in the middle of centre of Oslo. Close to trains, buses and trams. Great breakfast and a friendly staff in the reception. The staff in the breakfast room was not especially service mined. Bed was not good. A great wiev from the room.

You can't beat the location of this hotel. It is connect to the train station, a short walk to the opera house, and overlooks Karl Johans Gate street. There are many bus stations around the hotel and convenience stores located in the train station.

The staff we did interact with were friendly, although I feel like we didn't see them often. The breakfast buffet was on the smaller side compared to other hotels in Norway and a little hectic with the amount of guests. Overall though the breakfast was good.

The rooms were on the interesting side, a bit eclectic in taste, but definitely unique. The rooms themselves were spacious and the bathrooms had ample space. The rooms were also very clean and updated. Aside from some tram traffic the noise level wasn't bad considering its location in the heart of the city.

When the central train station was renovated (instead of being torn down), hotel rooms were added to the building. You are literally inside the station! The main level is filled with shops, restaurants, pubs, the tourist office. This hotel could not have a better location. We arrives by train from the airport (36 minute ride) and walked to the hotel (5 minutes). The rooms are quirky, decorated in an artistic way, but clean and roomy enough. There are a few triples ("family rooms") which have two beds + a roll away; most rooms are doubles. All have en suite bathrooms. Breakfast is included ( a buffet with fruit, yogurt, eggs, bacon, breads, cereals, oatmeal, coffee, tea, juice, ham and cheeses). Coffee and tea are available for free in the lobby if you join their loyalty program (provide an email for future offers). Staff all speak English and are very helpful. This is part of a chain and we stayed in several all over Norway but this one was the most unique. There is also a mezzanine that serves as the exercise room with plenty of machines overlooking the lobby. A good Italian restaurant is just outside the door of the hotel.

With basic amenities and hip decor this sprawling old building attached to Oslo Central Station is perhaps more akin to a youth hostel than a hotel, but the great location and handful of perks make it a good option for easy going travellers.

It is a budget hotel, which means basic beds (I'm sure it was Ikea - just a sponge mattress with a quilt, no top sheet), small thin towels and room cleaning only every four days (you can request more often if you want). We had an issue with the shower, which refused to give hot water unless left on for at least five minutes. Note there are no phones in the room (so no calling down to reception if you have a problem like no hot water..!). There were no glasses in the room, but we discovered some at the ice machine near the lifts.

The location makes it perfect for those in transit - it's just a minute's walk from the train platforms that go to the airport and other parts of Oslo. It's also a short walk from the beautiful Opera house, the main shopping and dining street of Oslo, piers for ferries and Acker Brygge harbourside entertainment precinct. There is a range of restaurants and bars within steps of the hotel.

The reception staff are friendly and helpful, there is fast, free wifi (on an open network), and the buffet breakfast is really outstanding with a huge range of hot and cold dishes, fresh breads, fruit and local delicacies.

One important note for disabled or elderly guests or those with mobility issues - this is an old building, so despite the modern upgrades there are lots of small steps and uneven floors everywhere, and depending where your room is, very long hallways to manage. Even the dining room has a giant step separating the seating area from the buffet; when we stayed the Norwegian national wheelchair hockey team was there, and had to lift their chairs up by hand!
