“Tasty burgers. Fine ambience for watching soccer!”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

Been here some times during the last years, mostly with a reason to watch soccer games. Fine atmosphere with lots of tv screens available for watching soccer and other sport events.

I ate here recently, and I was very happy with the homemade burger. Very tasty, nice potato chips and hardly no waiting at all for our meal. Prices were reasonable. Lots of seatings inside, and also some drinking tables outside, but not for eating.

Tempest is also a nice (but crowdy) place to go out on Friday and Saturday nights.

“Tempest,my Friday night drinking spot”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

I thought I should write an update, as I visit this pub once a week.It is a comfortable, quite smart pub in the centre of Oslo, also has a limited outside seating, smoking area.It is near to the town hall and the harbour. It is indeed popular for watching sport tv. Mostly football..However if you are a small group who what to watch something else.Rugby for example , they will dedicate one of the screens for you. Nice friendly staff.I think one of them is Welsh.I am usually only there for an after work beer on Fridays with a bunch of ex rugby players. Beer prices are cheap for this standard of pub at 56 nok a half litre. There are cheaper places ,but you do not want to go there. The cheaper the beer, the lower the class and quantity of drunks. It really is a happy hour until 7 pm.I think, but if you are a crowd and your sinking a few. They do not charge a higher price. There are quite a few different groups of regulars that use the pub.Which is always a good sign. No idea what it is like later at night as I am out of there by 11pm.However if you are out for the night, there are a number of night clubs in the same street.. The area has a reputation for being one the wild side, especially on a Saturday night so caution is advised.
So to sum up,not a particularly exciting or charming location, but perfectly ok for a few beers in a central location.
I am a long term resident in Oslo,so any advice needed.Just ask.

“Eat before you come !”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

We were a party of 12 who wanted an evening meal. Most of us ordered meat, which was described as "indrefilet" , i.e sirloin ! When the plate arrived it turned out to be a piece of meat that had no resemblance with " indrefilet ". When complaining, I had another plate- but the same result. Conclusion : They dont know what they are doing ! If you need to eat, take the burger !

This is a place more for beer drinking than eating . Lots of TV-screens with sport !

“Great pub food and location”
Reviewed December 14, 2012 via mobile

During a quick trip into the centre of Oslo we needed good, warm food at a reasonable price. Located minutes from the Christmas market we were given a friendly welcome and served great homemade burgers, with friendly service. Also has free wifi

“The best football pub in Oslo”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

because they serve decent pub food and the the prices are reasonable. The classic is the burger and fries which is the most popular. Mostly men here at least during the football games.
