A small cozy place with a very friendly atmosphere, - we felt like we were visiting a friend. Excellent service! The food was very American, - like rootbeer float as one of the desserts! The menu is rather small, but everything is delicious.

We arrived towards closing time but were nevertheless made very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The grits with blue cheese and vegetable puree was excellent as were the lime and pecan pies afterwards. A very reasonably priced, unpretentious, child-friendly and honestly run establishment which deserves top marks.

Regardless of time or day, a visit to Cafe Fedora is always a pleasure. From the coffee, to the entrees, to the dessert, the music and interior, Fedora never misses a step. Whether you've lived in the U.S. your entire life, like myself, or if you've never smelled a pecan pie, Cafe Fedora is your avenue towards true American cuisine. All of the entrees and desserts are made from scratch, and they all stay true to classic American cuisine. The coffee served is always top teir and the latte flavors, as well as the desserts, change with each season.

During my frequent visits to the Cafe, I have tried nearly every entree, and I have always been pleased. If you know anyone who's ever eaten here, then you know the Mac & Cheese is a must. Personal favorites of mine are the Breakfast Burrito, Texas Chilli, and the famous weekend brunches (in the case of a brunch, place a reservation in advance!). As for desserts, they are all magnificent. Fedora is known for their made-from-scratch pies; the pecan is to die for.

I could go on endlessly about the food, but that would leave me little room to illustrate the aesthetic of the Cafe. The Cafe has an intimate and homey aura that is complimented by the superb interior painting and the illustrative paintings that were done by local artists. To top it all off, this cafe plays better music than any other cafe in Oslo.

Last, but certainly not least, is the quality of the staff. They are absolutely wonderful. On any given visit, you will be greeted with a wide smile and warm hearts. The service has always been prompt and spotless. More often than not, you will find both owners working at the Cafe. They treat this cafe like a home and every guest is welcome.

Whether it is for their delicious Sunday brunch, or a late night snack and coffee, or just a glass of their refreshing American style lemonade, Cafe Fedora always merits a frequent visit for you, your family and with friends. The service is superb, and the American “soul food” dishes are extremely delicious and reasonably priced. The decor and atmosphere is quaintly and beautifully designed to look like a New Orleans style cafe, and their wonderful entrees, like the homemade “Mac and Cheese”, and their bacon, eggs and pancake breakfast, will leave you always wanting to come back. Cafe Fedora is a fabulous jewel of a restaurant in downtown Oslo, and the owners will always greet you with a warm “Southern Hospitality” smile. Cafe Fedora is definitely one of the top restaurants in Oslo.

They are experienced in providing for Dignitaries; Distinguish Political figures and yes--the Stars...Cafe Fedora. Welcome; warmth and love from two of the nicest people: Nicole & Anthony...Cafe Fedora.

Personal Favs: Homemade Pecan Pie; Key Lime Pie; Fried Chicken Gumbo; Red Velvet Cupcakes; varied Wraps; Mac & Cheese (with 5 cheeses); Chili; Fresh Chef Salads; Pancakes; Hash browns; Omelets to order. Yet, that is not the entire menu...at Cafe Fedora.

They openly support the American and Norwegian communities--with a venue and safe place for all. Fedora helps you to celebrate those missed U.S. holidays.
