“Very good food -french style”
Reviewed May 29, 2013 via mobile

Was here with a friend and had a three course meal. We were very satisied with the quality and amount if food. The cheeses are excellent. The same with the redwine.
Can recommend this place, but it's not cheap!

“Friendly French bistro in Oslo”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

Being a local, I had never even heard of this place but went with work on a weeknight. It was a pleasant surprise! I ate a three course dinner and was happy with everything; escargots as a starter, lamb for my main and meringue with fruits for dessert. The service was friendly and the atmosphere informal and good. Quite busy for a Wednesday in March. It has a French touch to it that I liked. They also seem to cater to children with a special kids menu and some toys so I might bring the family next time. Would also be a great place to go with friends to have some of the nice wine and enjoy the atmosphere.

“Good food, good service, good value”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

We landed in Oslo at 2:00 p.m. from San Francisco, caught the express train into town, walked to our hotel, and were exhausted. Trip Advisor found us this restaurant 4 blocks from our hotel. We wanted an early dinner, so we walked over at 4:00.

What a delight.

Friendly service, a menu in English & Norwegian that was a very traditional French Bistro. I had fresh Oysters and the entrecôte, my wife had a chicken liver terrine that include a mâché salad w/cornichons plus a chèvre salad. We had the house red, a lovely Cotes du Rhone Grenache. After a couple of hours, we staggered to our hotel, read for a bit and slept for 8 hours.

We will return if we're in Oslo again.

“Huge portion, delicious food”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

We ate a three course dinner at Le Benjamin Bar & Bistro. Afterwards, we were so full we had trouble walkning back to the hotel. The best courses were the entrees and the desserts. Nice enough staff, but the main attraction is the food. Prices were reasonable.

“Small french-style brasserie in the middle of Oslo”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

This restaurant is based on traditional french brasserie food, executed to perfection. The crepe suzette is prepared at the table and is easily the best in Oslo. A small minus for not actually making the crepe at the table. The selection of cheeses is also of the highest quality. Book ahead, this place is always packed solid.
