The hotel is well located for the Central Station and therefore the airport express trains. The rooms are small but have everything you need. The conference facilities again are functional.
The best thing about the hotel though is it's location - close to the harbour bars and restaurants and easy to het to and from the airport.

Location right across the street from Oslo's Central Station (with airport train also) is ideal, and tram, bus and metro stops in front of the hotel's entrance. But in all other respects this is an average hotel.
It seems that the hotel is made up of several buildings with steps and stairs between the parts. Finding your room is like walking in a maze. But luckily there are signs in the corridors.
I got a single room with sloping ceiling on the top floor. The view was right into a concrete wall of the neighboring house. One window was slightly open, and could not be closed completely because the handle was missing. Bathroom was ok but the shower area was small. There were some stains on the shelf by the sink, and generally the cleaning could have been better. Breakfast was good and varied, but not the wide selection found at many other Rica Hotels in Norway. Pleasant and attentive staff both in reception and breakfast room. OK hotel for one night, but not recommended for long stays.

I am not sure what to say. This is the seceond time i stay at this hotel - and the Price is somewhat the main reason - and the location. The rooms are small and could need an update. First time I recall having a very dark room - this time I had a room at 4th floor towards the Courtyard - rather calm and OK. The room had a 80 cm wide bed - which is just below what I prefer. OK internet connection - OK breakfast and perfect location. So why not above average? Because of the look, feel and need for an update...

Room Tip: Choose a room on 4th floow and avoid rooms towards the street

Somehow I like this hotel even though it is not that fancy. It is right in the centre of Oslo, next to the central train station. The service and breakfast is really good. The beds are comfortable. Thats it.

Pros - very good location, functional rooms, good breakfast

Cons - very small rooms (would be hard to stay here for business more than a couple of nights), check in was very slow, only one person working and answering phones (three of us were waiting to check in)

It is an average hotel that is not too expensive for this city. For a short stay I would stay here again but there's nothing particularly good or memorable about it. The rooms are really very small. Smaller than anywhere I've been.

Was a weekend in Oslo and stayed on this hotel which is located right in the center of Oslo.
The staff was pretty nice and helpful and if you needed something extra to your room, they would give it to you (like shampoo, balsam, shaving kit)

The rooms were pretty funny, because when you opened the door you had to go down a stair and there was the living room. The one room I stayed at, was located on the East side of the hotel, so the space was big and really nothing much to complain about.
The only thing you have to be assure of is that if you get a hotel room with window located on the East side of the building, there is a karaoke bar outside so it much get a little noisy at night in the weekend. South side rooms is probably more quiet.

The breakfast was really good, a lot of different foods too choose from and tasty fresh bread! The only thing they didn't have and almost made me cry, was the "bacon buffet", they only had a bacon slice on a cooked egg, but discarded the bacon it was great.

They also have a gym on the hotel, but I did not manage to try it out.

So overall this was a good hotel with a great location to the city centre, railway station (Oslo S), Karl Johan and point of interests.

Remember to also use Rica card to get points :)

Room Tip: Rooms on the South/left side is more quiet than the ones on the East/right.

Location right next to central station is ideal for business and pleasure. Tram, bus and metro directly in front of entrance. Despite this very quiet rooms. Had a standard room which was small but seemed new, in a nice scandinavian design. Everything very clean. Bathroom a bit on the small side, but no problem. Check in and out took about 30 seconds, with very friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast selection was great. Mattresses a bit soft for me, but i am also used to very firm mattresses, so will probably be OK for most people.
