Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Oslo
Ranked #29 of 102 Hotels in Oslo

The best thing about this hotel is it's location. Adjacent to Oslo Central Station, you cannot get lost on the way here. It is also located in good walking distance to the centre of town, Oslo City Shopping Centre and all of the main attractions. Good breakfast selection, included in the nightly rate - only downside was not having a bath mat in the room which meant I slipped getting into the shower/bath and had a lovely massive purple bruise the next day. Pool could have been cleaner too - but I wasn't here for long so didn't use it. I probably would stay here again if ever in Oslo again.

This hotel is in a perfect location, connected to the train station by a bridge and right in the middle of downtown Oslo. It's also one of the tallest buildings in Oslo so the views are great - ask for a room on a high floor - and there is a Sky Bar that's perfect for a late night drink. The room we were in was big - larger than our bedroom at home - with a nice bathroom and amenities. The breakfast spread was fantastic. We stayed at other hotels in Oslo, and this was by far the best for the money and the place I would stay if I came back.

Room Tip: The views are great, so ask for a room on a high floor.

The hotel right from the outside, lobby, hall way and the room can be perceived easily as old age but are kept in somewhat good condition though not very good or perfect. Living condition is at least as good as it should be for a brand name hotel like this. Nothing special.

Check-in was painful and slow due to groups of confused tourists checking in at the same time. There was no system in place for taking care of these groups. Luggage was scattered all over the reception area and it took a long time waiting before we got checked-in.

For some reason we were upgraded to a Business Class room, which I thought would be better than the standard rooms, but turned out to be the worst room I've stayed in at a Radisson hotel.

The room was old and dirty. The furniture was either stained, damaged or just worn out. The only good thing was the bed which turned out to be surprisingly comfy. The bathroom was a complete joke with stained tiles and a hazardous door that either jammed when it was shut or it wouldn't shut at all.

Radisson really need to step up their game. I cannot believe how they are offering this room to paying customers. This is far from being a Business Class room - and even a standard room. I have stayed at 2-star hotels with better rooms than this.

The front desk was informed upon departure, but I doubt it will lead anywhere..

With a 1500 NOK price tag per night - this hotel is definitely NOT worth it.

Room Tip: Business Class is NOT worth it

I've never ever had such a great breakfast in any other hotel. Huge variety of choices, incredible amount of fresh fruits, great service, always full choice, no matter if the restaurant is full or almost empty and you're just before closing time.

Location is absolutely great, a few steps from main train station, where the direct express train from Oslo Airport stops.

Rooms are nice, clean, but they might need some refresh, you can feel it's not a brand new place, especially in the bathrooms.

Service is super friendly, like in almost any other place in Norway. They are always smiling, even though you ask them to re-print the invoice for the fifth time...

Surrounding feels safe, there's a grocery store about 5 minutes away.

Sky bar on the top floor is a must, just remember that beer is super pricey ;)

Fitness room is a bit cosy, but there's a huge gym nearby.

Room Tip: Ask for queens bed and room on the highest possible floor. Bests are on the side where you'll ha...

This hotel, supposedly business hotel looks good on paper with it s central location, it s pool, gym, pub and restaurant...Well the reality is that the service is beyond bad, the food (pub restaurant or room service) is barely average, especially for the price and the pool and the gym are closer to a pond and a toy shop than what is advertised.
One word: Disappointing!

If you just want one night sleep in a small room this is the place. I stayed in a Business Class room and it is far away from Business Class. This is a very big hotel with a lot of confused tourist guest and therefore everything takes a very long time, ie check in time 15min and you are first in line.
The location are perfect if you just go in and out of Oslo by AirTrain to the airport.
