Kon-Tiki Museum is located just in front of the Fram Museum. It seems been built to honor Thor Heyerdahl long time history that exploring some part of the world. Kon Tiki is specially a well known because of the documentary movie got Academy Award. But when you visit the museum Thor has many theories and explore different cultural spread. He lead mission Tigris, Ra I and Ra II. All are documented as well in this museum. So inspiring. Worth visit.

We visited using the Oslo Pass, which makes the museum easy to get to. An interesting story with excellent exhibits and is well worth visiting. The raft was a highlight.

Fascinating. The famous kon-tiki raft in display along with pictures and explanations about the complete expedition. The museum also host boats and details about subsequent expeditions of Thor Heyerdahl. The exhibits and the explanations are too good to take you back in time. This museum is a must see in Oslo and is situated on Bygdoy peninsula which can be reached by bus 30 from central station or ferry from Aker Brygge. You can take a stroll through the beautiful neighborhoods.

The raft and reed boat shown in the museum have such wild beauty in them, when you think about the astonishing expeditions they have completed. A very educational visit. It's free with Oslo pass and is right next to the ferry port.
