The large ski jump in Oslo, Norwegian, size HS-134, opened in 1892. The stands have a seating capacity of 70,000. The current shape of the hill is known since its reopening in 2010, after in 2008 - after over 100 years of existence - the hill was demolished and rebuilt. The ski competition took place on the Holmenkollen hill from the very beginning, and in 1952 the VI Winter Olympic Games took place there. In 1923, at the foot of Holmenkollen, the Ski Museum was opened, which was the first such museum in the world. In the museum you can trace exhibits telling the history of skiing over four thousand years. These include skis used by the Vikings, equipment used by Norwegian polar researchers Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen, as well as modern cross-country skis. From its top you can admire the beautiful panorama and admire the wonderful Norwegian landscape.
Certainly this hill is worth visiting. And the views you can admire from its summit are unforgettable.

An historical site of the Holmenkollen Ski Jump is world famous. The view from the mountain is spectacular
Not much to do, yet it’s feels good to know you have seen and walked on this remarkable site

Ski museum very interesting, you can learn a lot about the history of winter sports in Norway. But the best part is the jump tower! Amazing views! You can see all the city and surroundings! Also they offer a ski simulation, where you can feel how it is to ski jump.

Holmenkollen in general is a great place to go to have some nice views over Oslo, and the skijumping tower was also great. You climb a bit on the sides of it and try to imagine what it would be like to jump off the tower.

While I dont know how to ski, we still went to see this place. The climate was superb. It was a huge structure and the views from the top ( or rather the entire journey ) were awesome. A must see attraction in everyones itinerary.
