Owner description: A historic landmark in the Norwegian consciousness, Holmenkollen embodies more than a century of skiing tradition. Inside the actual ski jump is the Holmenkollen Ski Museum, the world's oldest ski museum. The museum presents over 4,000 years of skiing history and polar exploration artifacts. The observation deck on top of the jump tower offers panoramic views of Oslo. Open 365 days a year!

We saw this on our guided tour of Oslo. What a fantastic sight! It really stands out on the skyline but nothing prepares you for the size of it when travelling past in the coach. Awesome! In the summer there is a zip wire you can travel on from top to bottom. Unfortunately didn't get chance to go down it boohoo. Would love to have stopped and had a really good look.

Arrived late, just 10 min. before closing hours but were still able to visit the museum and jump tower. Staff member at entrance told us it was still possible to visit the tower even though it was so close to closing hour.

Although just arrived at the top, another staff member told us already to go down. Luckily got him convinced to let us stay a couple of more minutes for some pictures and enjoying the view. Because otherwise we just bought a ticket for nothing...

Astonishing view over the surrounding hills of Olso and the city lights at night/evening.

We loved our visit to this site. It was misty on arrival, but we could still see the top of the slope. While we were in the musuem (very interesting) the mist cleared and the sun came out so that when we went up the lift, the view was amazing! Ski simulator was fun too...and cheaper than expected. Hot drinks in the cafe were also great. Staff friendly and spoke English. Highly recommended!

The metro takes you right there and it's a fairly easy walk to get there. It was snowing hard when we were there but still were able to see the jump and take the fenicular to the top and look out. The museum part was just ok. But seeing the jump was cool. Spent about an hour there is all. Get the Oslo Pass before you get up there....it's included.
