Owner description: A historic landmark in the Norwegian consciousness, Holmenkollen embodies more than a century of skiing tradition. Inside the actual ski jump is the Holmenkollen Ski Museum, the world's oldest ski museum. The museum presents over 4,000 years of skiing history and polar exploration artifacts. The observation deck on top of the jump tower offers panoramic views of Oslo. Open 365 days a year!

As everything in Norway it is overpriced to take the elevator in the museum and go to the top of the jump.
It is a nice experience though, and has a great view over all Oslo

This is a must see if you are visiting Oslo. Take the Holmenkollen Line that goes to Nordmarka and get off at Holmenkollen Station. Its a short walking distance from the station. I suggest that you make the effort and climb the steps too the top. You will have amazing views of Oslo and Oslofjord and there is also a ski jump simulator.

The Holmenkollen made me question the sanity of ski jumpers. I had no idea that the jumps were so long and so steep. It is nice to have the experience of getting to see it up close.

It is an easy trip there on the subway, but once there, it is quite a steep climb to get to the attraction. If you are handicapped in any way, keep this in mind. Once there though, there are fantastic views of Oslo and the surrounding area. It is worth the trek.

First of the metro ride it self is beautiful. While walking towards the jump tower you will have a great view of the city. The sight of the jump tower it self is breath taking. You can climb to the top of the tower to have a panoramic view of the city.
