A cool, quirky speak-easy bar with a limited but great cocktail list with generous helpings of alcohol but dunno, something was amiss. It had all the ingrediants of a great place but something didnt quite hit the spot. There was only one bartender so gthe cocktails took ages to make and you had to wait an approx 15 mins for your drink after you ordered it. Polite staff but not a place I would end the night, probably where I would go for a drink or two before heading off elsewhere.

Fuglen(The bird) is one of the oldest and most renowned coffeehouse in Oslo. It has a vintage, almost hipster decor which is timeless. Moreover all the furniture are for sale, so the interior has probably changed since your last visit. This makes it dynamic and exciting.

They serve a varied selection of high quality Coffee with really good barista to a reasonable prices(prices range from 30-40 NOK). The coffee is known to be among the best in town. They don't serve food, but they wont mind if you bring some take away and eat it there.

In the evening the place is turned into a cocktail bar. The bartenders are often well dressed in a vintage suit and demonstrate how they mix the drinks if you are interested. I recommend the Old Fashion(116 NOK) The music is never to loud, making it a great place for a date or just friends meeting up to talk.

Little personal service:
The downside is there is little or no personal service outside the counter area. You have to get your own coffee and drinks. But the lack of personal service is quite common in Oslo, and due to that staff is expensive. T

The staff there are usually quit pleasant and service minded, but due to its popularity some staff tend to be a bit arrogant and lack customer service(this is also something typical of Oslo). Some newcomers might unfortunately feel that the place is a bit cold and lacks personality, but I personally love it and its one of my favorite places in Oslo. I highly recommend you to give it a chance.

Cool place, cool people, cool music. This is a great place to hang out with your friends. Pretty expensiv, but passable. Mediocre service.

Coffeeshop at day, cocktailbar at nignt. If you are in Oslo, this is definitly a place to visit!

The coffe is great, the staff is nice, and the 50's theme makes the place the perfect place for a timeout.

Nice place with excellent drinks by night or coffee/tea by day. Retro design with 50-60's music to match. The queue can be a bit long, but the cocktails are well worth the wait, as they are made very skillfully. The ginger daiquiri is a must! Good place to start the night out, and if you're into 50-60's music you will have a good time for hours.
