Firstly it is right to mention I did not look at the insides of the Opera house. On the outside it is a masterpiece with it´s white marble reaching all around. You can walk on the roof from waterlevel up and around it. The sights are beautiful and everything about this house is a sight for soure eyes. Highly recommended on a sunny day.

As this is a main tourist attraction, the prices are quite stiff. But the food is also really good, and the outside seating is marvellous, giving a great look into the fjord. The Opera house it self is a must-see, and having a seat and having a coffee or something to nibble on to enjoy the view is highly recommended. Eating is great, if you can afford the prices.

An architectural masterpiece! Worth taking the walk around it for beautiful views of the surroundings and to explore the architectural detail and genius that went into making this extraordinary building. Also worth taking a look inside.

Really beautiful architecture from a distance, but up close it's magnificent. The coolest thing about it though is that it's built so the entire roof (which comes all the way down to street level) is a public walking/viewing area. You can walk up on the roof and get views of the city and harbor, which is very nice ... lots of people seem to hang out on there for quite awhile.

You can also enter the foyer/lobby for free ... the inside is pretty spectacular as well.

No programs were playing while we were In town which was too bad. I would love to see almost anything in this building.
Well worth the walk over just to see it though and walk the roof and step inside.
